Abstract:
An auxiliary structure for increasing the carrying capacity of tracked vehicles comprising a box-like extension (10), the so-called bay, which protrudes on the rear side of the superstructure (7), to which it is firmly anchored with detachable or permanent couplings (bolting, welding or , hinging), the extension (10), to which the tilt-down rear door (11) for accessing the internal carrying space (9) is pivoted, having a deck (12) that is limited by a transverse straight segment st that connects points (Pl-p2) where straight lines (rt) that are tangent to the rear wheels (6) for guiding the tracks (4), which form with the ground (S) a preset angle of attack (alpha) as defined above, meet the deck (12).
Abstract:
Transport device, e.g. for tracks and trailers, said transport device comprising two loading planes, one of which being arranged above the other and being vertically adjustable relative to said other plane, which constitutes the platform or the container bottom. The purpose of the invention is to provide a transport device, which is very flexible with respect to different types of transport goods and which can be loaded by means of a fork track or similar on both loading planes. This has been achieved by the fact that the roof structure (29) is vertically displaceable (29) relative to the platform (11) or the container bottom, so that when the upper loading plane (15) is fully loaded it is elevated to a level, which gives clearance height permitting a fork track to pass on the platform or the container bottom below the upper loading plane.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A removable and raisable roof (10) attached to four upright supports (14, 16) is mounted on an open bed trailer. Two supports are located on the left (14) and right (16) corners of the forward edge of the trailer; the other two supports are similarly located at the rear corners of the trailer. No side supports are necessary. Using elevating means within the supports, which can operate independently or in tandem, the front and/or rear portions of the roof can be raised and lowered separately. Using external attachable fixtures and ground mounted supports, each of the roof supports can be lifted from their mounted position on the trailer bed and the trailer driven out from under the supports and roof assembly, converting a covered van to a fully open van. If a fully enclosed trailer is desired, then tarpaulin, or other readily removable wall materials can be suspended from the roof and attached to the trailer bed.
Abstract:
A rigid convertible body device particularly suitable for covering the load platform of a utility vehicle. The device includes a plurality of fixed members comprising a rigid top (4), an upright (5) at both rear corners of the rigid top (4), and a means for attaching the front end of the rigid top (4) to the vehicle body; and a plurality of movable members comprising side panels (12, 13) rotatably mounted about each of the side edges of the rigid top (14) for sealing the side openings between the rigid top (4) and the vehicle body.
Abstract:
A setup joint between the chassis (1) of an apparatus, resting on the ground, and the operating part (2) of the apparatus, for adapting the angle of inclination and direction of said operating part to fit the job that has to be performed. The setup joint comprises a lower frame (3) carried on the chassis (1), an upper frame (4) in contact with the operating part (2), and between the lower frame and the upper frame, an intermediate frame (5) which is pivotally arranged to be turnable relative to the lower frame and to the upper frame so that the joint planes (6, 7) between them are at an angle to each other.
Abstract:
This invention pertains to a curtainside movable wall system comprising a cargo containment body with movable wall panels that always remain substantially parallel to a vertical side of the cargo containment body. A cargo containment body with movable wall panels that always remain substantially parallel to a vertical side of the cargo containment body.
Abstract:
A collapsible container including frame assembly, a lifting mechanism, a retractable side wall, a retractable end wall, a top member, and a bottom member is disclosed. The frame assembly includes rectangular frame members and articulated vertical frame members disposed between the rectangular frame members. At least one rectangular frame member includes a receptacle member. The articulated vertical frame members are positioned and arranged to retract within the frame assembly. The lifting mechanism is positioned and arranged to elevate the rectangular frame members from each other. The retractable side wall is positioned and arranged to retract into a receptacle member. The retractable end wall is positioned and arranged to retract into a receptacle member. The top member is disposed on an uppermost rectangular frame member. The bottom member is disposed on a lowermost rectangular frame member. A method of transporting a plurality of containers is disclosed.
Abstract:
A platform system (5) for use in a cargo compartment of a truck, lorry or trailer. The platform system (5) is provided with a plurality of elevation platforms (20) with a substantially rectangular outline, onto which, in use, goods can be loaded. The elevation platforms (20) can be elevated when loaded. Each elevation platform (20) is guided by horizontally spaced and vertically extending guides. Each elevation platform is suspended from a set of cables, each of these cables being associated with each of the vertically extending guides and a first end of each of the cables in the set being associated with one corner of the rectangular elevation platform. The platform system is also provided with a plurality of actuators (25) with one actuator associated with each elevation platform (20). The second end of the cables in the set being operably connected one of the actuators (25).
