Abstract:
A luggage system (10) for a bicycle (16) includes a wheeled luggage case (18), with a lockable lid, and a support rack (12) for attaching the luggage case (18) to the bicycle (16) and which is connectable to the bicycle (16). The luggage case (18) is attachable to the support rack (12) in a carrier position, in which the luggage case (18) is stowed on the support rack (12), and in a trailer position. The luggage case (18) includes a locking device for releasably securing the case (18) to the rack (12) in the carrier position and which is releasable only from the interior of the luggage case (18). This ensures that, when in the carrier position, the case (18) may be removed from the rack (12) only by a person with access to the interior.
Abstract:
A lighting assembly for a vehicle having a frame and at least one wheel attached to said Frame. The assembly comprises a reflective section located on said at least one wheel and comprises a reflective material. Further the assembly comprises a photo- luminescent section located on said wheel and comprises a photo-luminescent material. Further a light source for directing light to the at least one photo-luminescent section is provided. The photo-luminescent material is, at least partly, provided on an outer surface of the at least one reflective section, and/or is, at least partly, mixed with the reflective material of the at least one reflective section.
Abstract:
Rotation of a wheel assembly having phosphorescent pigments of differing visages creates a visual effect, such as a flashing or strobing appearance, not seen while the wheel is stationary. The arrangement of multiple visages of phosphorescent pigment may be within a single band or other shape or multiple bands or shapes on the same wheel assembly. This effect is created by varying the color, tone, color saturation, and/or pigment brightness of the phosphorescent material, along the side(s) of the wheel assembly. While the phosphorescent material is charged and glowing, and the wheel assembly rotates, the different visages will appear to the human eye to visually overlap. With this effect, the wheel assembly is given a strobing, flashing, or vibrating appearance. Other approaches, including different colors of phosphorescent material on the front and rear wheels, are also disclosed for enhancing visibility.
Abstract:
A head lamp (1) of bicycle comprising a rotor (3) formed by fixing a plurality of magnet arranging plates (33) having the shape of an arc of a specified circle and arranged with several magnets (31, 31, ...) in sectoral shape, at a constant interval, while alternating the N and S poles onto the circumference of a reel spoke (91) at the rotary section of a bicycle (9), a stator (5) comprising a power generation coil (53) consisting of a core and a coil secured to positions facing the magnetic pole face of the magnet arranging plate (33) of the rotor (3), a head lamp electric circuit (71) capable of outputting rectified and smoothed power taken out from the power generation coil (53) through resonation of the power generation coil (53) of the stator (5) and a capacitor connected in series therewith at a frequency synchronized with a specified relative speed of each magnet, a light emitting diode (73) lighting with power being supplied from the head lamp electric circuit (71), and a case body (7) for containing at least a condenser lens (75) for condensing the light from the light emitting diode (73) in front of the bicycle and irradiating the pavement with the condensed light.
Abstract:
The invention relates an automatic generating electricity and lighting device and a fixing instructure, especially to be suitable for wheel having wheel arm or spoke wire. The automatic generating electricity and lighting device mostly comprises an induction coil, a lighting assembly, a guiding light body and a magnet. Therein, the induction coil is connected to the lighting assemble on its one end, they are placed inside of a containing part of a guiding light body terminal, to assembly an integral; the guiding light body is fixed on wheel arm or between spoke wires; the magnet is installed on a split (magnet holder fixed on a frame, and the magnet and the induction coil inside of the guiding light body are corresponding one another. When the wheel rotates, the wheel drives the guiding light body to rotate, and enables the induction coil inside of the guiding light body and the magnet installed on a split magnet holder to interact on each other and to generate an electric current, and then the electric current drives the lighting assembly to emit light, the light emitted by the lighting assembly is guided by use of (the guiding light body outward to provide a safe caution effect.
Abstract:
Marking light apparatuses of the kind used for bicycles and persons, usually comprise compartments for dry cell batteries etc., which makes these apparatuses relatively voluminous and therefore not suited for keeping in a pocket, purse or the like. A marking light apparatus (2) is thus disclosed of the disclosed kind, which is special in that it comprises a by fastening means (10, 10') fastenable console part (4, 4') with a carrying surface (30) oriented in relevant directions for light source (12, 12') releasably mounted thereon, comprised of a flat flexible energy source (33) for mounting on relevant parts of the carrying surface (30) and where the first side (35) oriented away form the carrying surface (30) comprises a light emitting device (39) connected to the energy source and where the back side (36) comprises contacts (42) for short-circuiting the light circuit by electrically conducting contact connected points (26) whereby the light emitting device (39) emits light.
Abstract:
A light display is mounted on the spokes of a rotating bicycle wheel. The display includes a plurality of arrays of lights, each array attached to one of the spokes. A sensor on wheel, actuated by a magnet mounted on the frame, senses the angular velocity of the rotating wheel with respect to the bicycle frame. A microprocessor, mounted on the wheel and connected to the sensor, and individually connected to each of the plurality of arrays of lights by a cable, includes a memory which stores a plurality of display patterns. The microprocessor modulates the plurality of arrays of light according to a selected one of the plurality of display patterns and the sensed angular velocity of the rotating wheel to form an image using persistence of vision of a viewer.
