Abstract:
Packaging material (410) may be profiled to generate an incremental containment force per revolution (ICF) attribute that is represented by a function that is variable as a function of wrap force. Moreover, the performance of different packaging materials (410), e.g., in terms of speed or cost, may be compared for a particular load (406) through simulation of wrap operations based upon dimensions of the load (406) and a desired load containment force requirement for the load (406).
Abstract:
A continuous sleeve wrapping machine in elastic film, to which products to be packaged (13) are fed consecutively, individually, or in several rows, comprising a series of consecutive conveyor belts (14), positioned one after another, longitudinally aligned, on which the products advance from a product feeding area (13) to an unloading area of bundles of products (12), the conveyor belts (14) being spaced in a section which envisages at least one binder (15) which spirally wraps transversally to the advance direction of the products (13), supported in this section by fixed rigid underlying guides (18), the guides (18) comprising, at the end of the binder (15), an upward sliding portion (21) which allows the film to be removed from the fixed guides (18) and firmly positioned on the products (13), downstream of the at least one binder (15) and the upward sliding portion (21), there being a cutting group (22) which effects the separation of the long continuous wrapping of the film around the products (13) into a series of bundles (12) having predefined dimensions and number of products. The invention also relates to a method for producing bundles in (extendible) elastic film.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Vertical or horizontal axis ring machine, for wrapping usually palletized loads with extendable film, of the type in which the rotating ring (5) carries, mounted thereon, the reel (23) of wrapping film and at least one pair of rubber-lined and motor-driven 5 rollers (13, 113) for pre-stretching the film unwound from the reel and to be fed to the load to be wrapped, characterized in that the said pre-stretching rollers are actuated by a kinematic chain which is supported rotatably by the said ring (5), which projects from the side of the ring opposite to that from where the said pre-stretching rollers and the reel project and which is designed to be actuated by a motor unit which is 10 situated statically on the frame (2) which rotatably supports the said ring (5) and which acts in phase synchronism with the motor (9) actuating this ring.
Abstract:
A stretch-wrapping machine (20) consists of a revolving ring (140) with a packaging material dispenser (120) mounted to it. The ring (140) revolves about a horizontal axis to dispense the stretch wrap material around a load (40) that is supported by a forklift (30). The revolving ring (140) is mounted on a track (70) to allow the ring to travel back and forth in a direction perpendicular to the ring. This allows the machine to wrap any load (40) that fits within the ring. Thus the length and the weight of the load do not limit the wrapping capability of the machine.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device (1) for banding long objects (40) with a holder for a roll (30) of adhesive tape, a device (18) for drawing the tape from the roll (30), a winding tool (2) for winding the tape around the object (40) and a cutter (12) for cutting the tape on completion of the winding process. According to the invention, the winding tool (2) has a stationary part (3) and a rotating part (4) and the stationary part (3) is movably secured to a holder (6), the holder for the roll (30) of tape is secured to the rotating part (4) so that it is guided around the object during the winding process and the device (18) is fitted on the stationary part. This provides a mobile winding tool (2) for the fully automatic banding of complex cable harnesses and single partial conductor sections.
Abstract:
An elongate article, which may comprise a bundle (B) of individual elements (A) with or without an immediate wrapper, is wrapped by forming a winding (20) thereon comprising a strip of wrapping material, and laying on the article a tear member (15) which extends along substantially the entire length of the article and has an end portion thereof exposed. By pulling the exposed end portion of the tear member away from, and along the length of, the article, the wrapping may be disrupted without the use of cutting tools or the like which may damage the wrapped article.
