Beschrieben und dargestellt ist eine Umreifungsvorrichtung zur Umreifung von Packstücken mit einem Umreifungsmittel, mit einem Packtisch, auf welchem das Packstück durch die Vorrichtung geführt ist, mit seitlich des Packtisches angeordneten, vertikalen Stützen, an welchen eine Pressplatte vertikal verfahrbar ist, mit einer Anordnungseinrichtung für ein Kantenschutzmittel, welche entlang einer Bewegungsbahn an der Pressplatte horizontal verfahrbar ist, und mit einer Steuerung, welche die Anordnungseinrichtung in eine Anordnungsstellung zur Anordnung des Kantenschutzmittels an dem Packstück bewegt, wobei ein Mittel zur Positionserfassung des Packstücks in einem Einlaufbereich der Umreifungsvorrichtung angeordnet ist und das Mittel zur Positionserfassung eine Einlaufposition des Packstücks während dessen Einlaufbewegung erfasst.
Abstract:
The objective of the invention is to provide an alternative way of wrapping a product with cardboard at faster speed and maintain stacking strength. This accomplished by bending two strips of cardboard into the shape of a U channel where the sides of the U form an angle smaller than 90 degrees. The sides of the U channel cardboard will be open by a guide that will allow each U channel cardboard piece to slide around each end of the product without requiring glue to hold the U Channel in position. By maintaining an angle of less than 90 degrees the U channel cardboard act like a spring clamp around the product and maintains its position on the conveyor belt while the product is film wrapped and the film is heat shrunk.

The invention relates to a strapping machine (10) for packages (11), comprising at least one strapping station feeding a strap around the packages and at least one application station (24) for edge protection elements (16) that can be applied in the area of the strap strapping the package between the strap and the package to protect the edges of the package. In order to be able to provide the packages with individual labels, a labeling device (26) for labeling the edge protection elements (16) is associated with the application station (24), said labeling station individually imprinting or labeling the edge protection elements that are individually withdrawn from a storage before they are applied to the package and strapped by the strap.

El método consiste en la combinación de una fase automática y una fase manual, que se producen de forma inmediata, de manera que en la fase automática una maquina suministra a la cantonera (1), en su cara de adaptación al bloque de apilamiento (2) y en zonas adecuadamente distribuidas a lo largo de la misma, respetivas dosis de un adhesivo (5) apropiado, mientras que inmediatamente a continuación, en la fase manual, un operario desplaza la cantonera (1) hacia el bloque de apilamiento (2), acoplándola y fijándola a la arista (3) correspondiente.

A strapping apparatus (10) for packages, has a packing table (11) on which the package (13) to be strapped lies. The apparatus has vertically oriented supports (17) which are arranged laterally on the packing table (11), a horizontally oriented pressing plate (18) which is arranged on the vertical supports (11) and which is movable in a vertical direction, and a device, situated on the pressing plate (18), for the arrangement of an edge protection means on the package (13) lying on the packing table (11). The device for the arrangement of the edge protection means can be moved from an initial position remote from the package into an arrangement position close to the package (13). The device includes at least one magazine (19), arranged on the pressing plate (18), for the supply of edge protection means and has a first clearance outline profile which is delimited by the packing table (11), the vertical supports (17), the pressing plate (18) and the at least one magazine (19). The magazine (19) has a normal position which, for the transfer of an edge protection means, corresponds to the initial position of the arrangement device, and the magazine (19) is a part of a first clearance outline profile. The magazine (19) has a deflected position into which it can be moved from the normal position and in which the magazine (19) is part of a second, wider clearance outline profile. A method for strapping packages in a strapping apparatus is also disclosed.

A method and an apparatus for setting corner protectors on a load, in which method the corner protectors are taken from a corner protector storage (4, 5, 6) with a gripper unit, and the corner protectors are set against vertically extending corners of the load prior to or during wrapping of the non-rotatable load with film, wherein first two corner protectors are taken from the corner protector storage (4, 5, 6) with an actuator (2) comprising two gripper units, the first two corner protectors are given by the actuator to a corner protectors transfer and setting device (3, 3'), the corner protectors transfer and setting device transfers the first two corner protectors other side of the load and sets the first two corner posts against the two vertically extending corners of the load furthest away from the actuator second two corner protectors are taken from the corner protector storage and set against the two vertically extending corners of the load closest to the actuator by the actuator.

The invention relates to a movement system that is associable with a wrapping machine (100) for wrapping a load (70) with a film (4) comprising at least one operating unit (30, 40, 50, 80) for performing operations on the load (70) and/or on said film (4); the system comprises shuttle means (11, 12, 21, 22; 32; 41, 42; 52) that is movable for supporting and moving said operating unit (30, 40, 50, 80) along a path (P) at least between an operating position (F1, F2, F3, F4, F5), in which the operating unit (30, 40, 50, 80) can perform operations on the load (70) and/or on the film (4) and/or can interact with the wrapping machine (100), and a non-operating position (N1; N2) in which the operating unit (30, 40, 50, 80) is outside a working zone (W) of the wrapping machine (100) in order not to interfere with the operation of the latter.

A corner post application system (20) comprises a conveyor subsystem (24) and an enveloping machine (22) adapted to envelope a load (42) with a material (21). The system further includes a swing arm (70), an applicator arm (72) coupled to the swing arm (70) and adapted to move linearly, a corner post gripper (74) coupled to the applicator arm (72), and a controller (60). The controller (60) rotates the swing arm (70) about a vertical pivot axis (76) until a corner post (40) held by the corner post gripper (74) is aligned with adjacent sides (108a, 108b) that define a corner (48) of the load (42). The controller (60) thereafter stops rotation of the swing arm (70) and moves the applicator arm (72) linearly toward the corner (48) of the load (42) until the corner post (40) held by the corner post gripper (74) contacts the adjacent sides (108a, 108b) of the load (42). A sensor (128, 328)) may be included for detecting a corner (48) of the load (42), with the controller (60) aligning the corner post (40) based on detection by the sensor (128, 328).
