The collection frame (4) and the holding device (3) are movable with respect to each other. The present invention refers to an improved machine for packagi ng products with so called ' single fold heat shrinkable film where the product is inserted between the two opposite sides of the folded film, the film is sealed by the way of L shaped welding frame inside a cha mber closed at the top by a mobile bell and thermally treated by forced circulation of hot air to shrink the film around the product. This improved model consists of additional heating means, which are resistors, which are "L" shaped and are situated in the zone corresponding to the the sealing frame and the means of circulation of hot air are situated in a central position in respect to the additional heating means.

The present invention describes a blade assembly for use with side-sealing and lap-sealing machines, which are used to seal thermoplastic film. Briefly, the cutting element is oval in shape, and has its entire outer edge profiled. This provides four distinct cutting surfaces, depending on the mounting orientation of the cutting element in the machine. This cutting element is held against a heating block, and its temperature is continuously monitored by' a temperature sensor. The sensor is spring-loaded to insure solid contact with the cutting element, and thus, accurate temperature measurements. This entire assembly is then encased in insulation. Additionally, the cutting element is mounted on an adjustable platform, which permits vertical adjustments relative to the film. Thus, the specific portion of the cutting element which actually engages the film can be adjusted to improve the cutting quality or further extend the useful life of the cutting element.

An invention for forming, filling, and sealing a flexible recloseable container (20). Both vertical and horizontal methods for placing product within the container (20) are disclosed. One embodiment of the invention includes guiding a web of film (102) which has interlocking fastener strips (32, 34) sealed to the web (102). A slider (48) for locking and unlocking the fastener strips (32, 34) is placed in the correct orientation, spread apart at a pair of inner feet (54, 56), and inserted over the fastener strips (32, 34). The slider (48) is positioned to close a substantial portion of the strips, and then an end stop (36), docking station (39), and corner seal (40, 42) are formed against a sealing plate. The slider (48) is then repositioned, and a tamper evident seal (43) may be placed over the fastener strips.
