Abstract:
The invention is an absorbing cartridge put inside the package of a food product, which consists of a non-woven material, especially cellulosic perforated plastic film laminated on both sides, particularly with polyethylene or other welded from four sides, characterized by the fact that inside closed area an absorber (2), an active signalling element (5) wirelessly coupled to external deactivating system are placed.
Abstract:
In the method for applying identification features to a packing strip in order to authenticate the processed packing, the packing strip is fed in a packing line to an embossing station, where logos of all kinds and/or codes and/or a satin finish and/or fold lines are embossed at the cycle rate of the packing machine by means of embossing rollers by deforming the packing strip, Identification: features and possibly other features are produced additionally on the packing strip on-line, in the same process step, and synchronously to the cycle rate by material removal by means of a feature setup comprising a laser installation, the packing strip having a thickness of 50 μm to 300 μm. The thus treated packing strip is subsequently further processed. Due to the fact that the feature setup for producing the identification features is provided in addition to the embossing rollers but operates in the same process step, all known embossing rollers can be used, and due to the application of lasers for producing the features, e.g. a consecutive numbering can be produced, thereby ensuring a secure authentication method without the need of changing substantially the embossing station comprising a housing with at least two embossing rolls, or lowering the processing speed.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a heat-sealing film comprising a support layer (70) and a heat-sealing adhesive layer (74) having an adhesion side facing away from the support layer (70) and a metallised layer (73) disposed between the support layer (70) and the heat-sealing adhesive layer (74), into which metallised layer at least one security feature (2) is incorporated, a hot-melt adhesive layer (75) being applied to the adhesion side along the adhesion side of the heat-seal adhesive layer (74).
Abstract:
Systems and methods for a tamper-evident cargo container seal bolt lock are disclosed herein. The device can include a receiving member, a conductive bolt member adapted to be snap- locked into the receiving member, and a plastic encapsulant which tethers the bolt member to the receiving member. The encapsulant can contain an electrically conductive medium, such as a wire, which runs from the receiving member to the second end the bolt. A sensory circuit disposed within the receiving member can be configured to sense whether the circuit has been interrupted (e.g., if the bolt has been cut). In the event of an interruption, the circuit can record the present time and/or date in memory. An RFID transponder disposed within the encapsulant or the receiving member can then transmit the recorded date/time to an RFID interrogator if a dispute subsequently arises as to when the lock had been broken.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Disclosed is a locking arrangement for a pair of doors (11, 12) of a freight container (10), each door (11, 12) including an upright operating bar (15, 16) mounted on the door (11, 12) for angular movement about its axis and a handle (13, 14) coupled to the operating bar (15, 16), wherein the locking arrangement comprises: mutually interconnected first and second elements (110, 120), each comprising an engagement portion for engaging the operating bar (15, 16) of each of the pair of doors (11, 12) in the vicinity of the handle (13, 14), wherein the first and second elements (110, 120) are movable with respect to each other so as to span the distance between operating bars (15, 16) and to thereby prevent handle operation.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing food wrapping comprises a step of unwinding a strip of printable material from a first reel, a step of printing and drying the strip, a step of applying RFID tags to the back of the strip of printable material, so as to be hidden by the print, a step of joining a tubular strip of material onto the back of the strip of printable material so as to obtain a laminate, and a step of longitudinally cutting the tubular strip. Transverse and longitudinal cuts produce wrapping formed by a laminate consisting of a sheet portion (40) of printed material and a film (41) of food-grade material, with RFID tags (20) arranged in between. A production line comprising an apparatus (5) for applying RFID tags including a plurality of labellers (12) displaceable within the width of the strip of printable material is also described.
Abstract:
The invention provides for a handle and locking bar clamp for securing the door of a shipping container against unauthorised opening, the handle and locking bar clamp including means for attaching it to one of the vertically extending locking bars of a door, a first element which, in use, lies adjacent to and restricts the movement of the handle which is attached to said locking bar and by means of which the bar is rotated to latch and unlatch the door, and a second element which, in use, is in contact with the container door, said second element preventing such handle and locking bar clamp and said bar being rotated about the axis of the bar.
