Abstract:
A packaging and shipping system for dry charged batteries. The packaging system includes a shipping crate having a lower section that defines an open interior. The open interior is sized to receive a dry charged battery and a plurality of electrolyte bottles. Each of the electrolyte bottles contains a volume of electrolyte sufficient to fill one of the individual cells of the dry charged battery. Each of the electrolyte bottles are separately packaged and positioned within the open interior of the shipping crate. Upon reaching the desired destination, the shipping crate can be stored. When the dry charged battery is to be placed into use, the shipping crate is opened and the individual cells of the dry charged battery are filled with electrolyte from the plurality of electrolyte bottles. Once the dry charged battery has been activated, the empty electrolyte bottles can be placed back into the shipping crate and returned for recycling.
Abstract:
Thermally insulated shipping system for use in transporting a pallet-sized payload. In one embodiment, the system includes a plurality of thermally insulating walls arranged to define an interior volume suitable for receiving a pallet-sized payload. The thermally insulating walls include a top wall, a bottom wall, a front wall, a rear wall, a left wall, and a right wall, of which all but the bottom wall include at least two slots facing towards the interior volume. One of the slots is an inner slot that is more proximal to the interior volume, and one of the slots is an outer slot that is more distal to the interior volume. The system also includes a plurality of inner cassettes disposed in at least some of the inner slots and a plurality of outer cassettes disposed in at least some of the outer slots. The inner and outer cassettes include phase-change materials.
Abstract:
A collapsible and stackable shipping container for shipping a product may be reused and customized for the product to be shipped. The shipping container includes a base, a plurality of support struts mounted on the base, and a top or a cover. The plurality of support struts are movable relative to the base between an upright position and a collapsed position. Each support strut may be rotatably attached to the base and may fit within feet or other support structures formed within the base. In the collapsed position, the plurality of support struts are stored on the base, such as within one or more cavities formed in the base. The shipping container may include a radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag for use in tracking the shipping container or a system of shipping containers.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of the transportation and storage of goods and to a transport and storage system and in particular, but not necessarily restricted thereto, a system for the transportation and storage of goods such as palletised goods and self-standing goods. The present Invention seeks to provide a system that can enable goods to be securely and reliably horizontally, vertically and offset stacked, despite different sires of goods and support members therefor, such as pallets, whereby wasted volumes arising from the presence of irregular loads, pallets or pallets of different levels or different load ratings In storage and transport can be minimized.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A container (1) loadable with at least one object (6) comprising a pallet (2) with a loadable upper side (23) and first fastening means (21) arranged apart from the edges (22) of the pallet and a closable sidewall (31, 32, 33, 34, 351, 352) with second fastening means (311, 321, 331) suitable to fit into the first fastening means (21) of the pallet (2) comprising at least a first side (31), a second side (32), a third side (33) and a fourth side (34, 351, 352), where the fourth side (34, 351, 352) is suitable to be opened to load the container (1), wherein the sidewall (31, 32, 33, 34, 351, 352) and the pallet (2) fastened together with the first and second fastening means (21, 331, 321, 331) define a loadable volume which is able to be collapsed in case of no loaded objects by moving the sidewall (31, 32, 33, 34, 351, 352) towards the upper side (23) of the pallet (2), for of at least two of the first to fourth sides along the first fastening means (21).
Abstract:
An octagonal bulk bin has sidewalls, end walls and diagonal corner panels interposed between adjacent sidewalls and end walls. Bottom flaps are foldably joined to a bottom edge of the sidewalls, end walls, and diagonal corner panels, and gusset panels connect adjacent side edges of the bottom flaps, facilitating set up of the bulk bin and spacing flap cuts from the corners of the bin to minimize or eliminate initiation of tears in the vertical corners of the bin. A plastic pallet tray has an upstanding lip around its periphery, shaped and sized to closely receive the bottom end of the octagonal bin to reinforce the bottom end and facilitate handling of the bin.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a fastener (10) between a can-band carton (30) made of cardboard or some other material and a support (40), such as the tray of a pallet, to form a box. The fastener is characterized in that it comprises a first element (11) with a surface portion designed to be supported on said support (40), a second element (12) perpendicular to said surface portion and against which said can-band carton is designed to be urged to rest, and means (14, 15) for maintaining the can-band carton (30) in the fastener. Said fastener enables a can-band carton to be rapidly and securely mounted on the support.
