Abstract:
A container (10) is described comprising: a base (11) comprising a mouth (15), a first edge (23) obtained around the mouth (15) and a second edge (24) connected to the first edge (23) by a lower wall (25); a cover (12) capable of being closed again on the base (11), the cover (12) comprising a base wall (31) and an edge (32) connected to the base wall (31) and adapted to be assembled with interference on the first edge (23) of the base (11); the cover (12) further comprising a tongue (16) connected to the edge (32) adapted to facilitate the grasp by a user, and a bending and/or breaking line (26) obtained on the tongue (16) along which the bending and/or the breaking of the tongue (16) is adapted to occur, to allow opening the container (10) providing evidence of the occurred opening.
Abstract:
A container (20) includes a body (22) defining an interior and an opening (32) that leads to the interior. A cap (24) is removably affixed over the opening and is movable between a closed position and an opened position. The cap includes a front tab (52) having an undersurface (54). A child resistant closure in the form of a guard (56) having a depressible wall (58) is located on the body and is movable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. When in the engaged position the guard covers the undersurface of the front tab to prevent the cap from being moved to the opened position. When in the disengaged position the undersurface of the front tab is exposed, enabling the cap to be moved to the opened position.
Abstract:
The present disclosure is directed to a child-resistant container which includes a lid having a peripheral flange which defines a lifting tab having top and bottom surfaces. The lid includes a protrusion extending downwardly from the bottom surface of the lifting tab. The container includes a base having an upper peripheral rim and a surface formed in a corner portion of the base between two adjacent sides of the base. The surface includes an aperture to receive the downwardly extending protrusion of the lid when the container is closed forming a child-resistant opening mechanism. The surface is uninterrupted but for the aperture.
Abstract:
A rim assembly for a container comprises a frame member (346) having a perimeter corresponding in shape to an opening of a container such that, in use, the frame member is received within the opening and extends around an interior surface of a side wall of the container; a plurality of securing tabs (394) hingedly connected to the frame member (346), each tab (394) including an engagement member (396); sealing means configured for repeated sealing engagement with a lid of the container; and retaining means (399), wherein each of the securing tabs is movable between a first position in which the engagement member is disengaged from an aperture (317) in the container side wall and a second position in which the engagement member (396) is engaged with one of the apertures (317) in the side wall, and wherein the retaining means is configured to retain the securing tabs in the second position such that the rim assembly is secured to the container around a top edge of the side wall.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A sealing element (2) for a container (1), the container including a sealing element and to a method of forming a container including a sealing element. A container comprises a main body and a lid, the main body of the container including a side wall having a top edge defining an opening of the container 81), and a sealing element for the container comprises a mounting portion (40) comprising an annular member for engaging with the top edge of the side wall; engagement means configured for repeated sealing engagement with said lid of the container; and a securing portion (42) configured to secure the sealing element to the side wall, the securing portion being hingedly connected to the mounting portion and moveable between a first position in which the mounting portion (40) can be engaged and disengaged from said top edge, and a second position in which the securing portion (42) prevents the mounting portion from being disengaged from said top edge.
Abstract:
According to an example embodiment, there is provided a container comprising: a main body frame (2) forming a support for a main body of the container; and a skin (10), attached to the main body frame to form the main body of the container, wherein the same skin also forms a closure (16) of the container.
Abstract:
A container has a fibrous lid (100) and vessel (110) that have mutually mating raised beads (104, 112). The beads are preferably formed in rings, which in the case of the lid is positioned on the underside of the cap, and in the case of the vessel is positioned at the mouth of the vessel. Also in preferred embodiments, the beads can have outward curls, inward curls, or have a split formation. Both lid and vessel are preferably made of at least 85 wt% paper. The non-paper percentages can advantageously comprise one or more of glues, adhesives, films, and/or moisture barriers, and in most preferred embodiments, the moisture barrier is also an adhesive.
