Abstract:
An apparatus (2) for conveying food slices, the apparatus (2) comprising a conveyor element (16) having an upper conveying surface (22), the conveying surface (22) being downwardly inclined from an input end (18) thereof towards an output end (20) thereof, a vibratory actuator (16) coupled to the conveyor element (16) and adapted to cause vibratory motion of the conveying surface (22), the vibratory motion being at least partly in a direction along the conveying surface (22), and a liquid supply (28) for supplying liquid onto the conveying surface (22) to form a liquid film over at least part of the conveying surface (22).
Abstract:
A conveying device (4) for conveying rolled bar segments, continuously exiting from a cutting shear (3), comprising at least two conveying channels (10, 11) for conveying the bar segments; at least one separation wall (8) for separating a first conveying channel (10) from a second conveying channel (11); and at least one fixed partition (9), provided below said wall (8) and which separates said first channel (10) from said second channel (11); wherein said fixed partition (9) is configured so that, at speed, when a rolled bar is deviated to pass from a direction towards the first channel to a direction towards the second channel, the tail of a first bar segment (30) advances in the first channel (10) by passing below said fixed partition (9), while the head of a second bar segment (31 ) after the first segment (30) advances in the second channel by passing above said fixed partition.
Abstract:
Abstract:
This invention concerns a sorter which sorts the goods conveyed to individual distribution points which are constructed as heat-insulated storage chutes (2).
Abstract:
Abstract:
A blockage detection unit, blockage detection system, material transfer system and method are disclosed for detecting a blockage of a chute. In one aspect, the blockage detection unit is configured to: obtain a first signal indicative of a first load value from a first unit for detecting a load of material being transferred upon at least a portion of a first material transport assembly toward an inlet of the chute; obtain a second signal indicative of a second load value from a second unit for detecting a load of material deposited onto at least a portion of the second material transport assembly from an outlet of the chute; and use the first load value and the second load value to detect a blockage when the load material entering the chute is substantially discrepant to the load of the material exiting the chute.
Abstract:
A device for transporting articles is disclosed. In the illustrated and described embodiment of the invention, the articles are fruit such as apples, and the articles can be transported from a picking location on a fruit tree to a collection bin or other site. The device includes a tube member adapted to receive and transport the articles, and a plurality of deformable baffles at spaced-apart locations within the tube. Each baffle defines an aperture which permits the article to engage and deform the baffle and aperture so as to create at least a partial momentary seal to encourage article movement through the aperture and down the tube. The article is urged through the tube by a pressure differential created across the article. In the described and illustrated embodiment of the invention, this pressure differential is a pneumatic pressure differential. The tube and the baffle apertures can have non-circular cross-sectional shapes.
Abstract:
A package sorting system. The package sorting conveyor system includes a conveying track, at least one unloading station and an air-film lubricated entrance chute upstream of the unloading station to receive the package. In one embodiment, the entrance chute includes a plenum including a plurality of spaced apart apertures and an opening for communicating with an air supply; and a segmented conveying surface in communication with the apertures, wherein the segmented conveying surface includes at least one air- film lubricated bottom surface and at least one air- film, lubricated side wall substantially perpendicular to the at least one bottom surface. In one embodiment, the apparatus further includes a positioner assembly for selectively positioning the outlet of the entrance chute.
Abstract:
Method for collecting objects of a batch, in a conveyor (3), in a material handling system, on which an object path is defined. Advantageously, the method comprises the following steps: - forming a row of objects (RO), extending transversely with respect to said object path, and having a maximum length substantially equal to the width of said conveyor (3), causing the release of the entire row of objects (RO) along said conveyor (3), said steps being repeated up to exhaustion of objects (4) of said batch, by collecting said objects according to a column formation of rows (RO) on said conveyor (3), providing a better use of its surface.
