Abstract:
The present invention relates to a conveyor for feeding products to kilns for baking ceramic products, including one support structure (2);a plurality of rollers (3) supported by the support structure (2) and arranged parallel and adjacent to each other to delimit a transport plane (T) of the conveyor, each roller being rotatable about a longitudinal axis (X-X) orthogonal to a feeding direction (A) of the products in said transport plane (T);drive means (7) of the plurality of rollers (3);one program control unit (8) operationally connected to the drive means (7) and intended, in use, to impart to the drive means (7) a respective control signal; and at least detecting means (9) operationally connected to the program control unit (9) and intended, in use, to send to the program control unit (9) a respective input signal related to the presence or absence, on said plurality of rollers (3), of said ceramic products. Each roller (3) comprises a shaft (4) supported at the ends thereof by support structure (2); and a plurality of sleeves (6) rotatably mounted on the shaft (4) adjacent to each other, the sleeves (6) being operated by the program control unit (8) through the activation of the drive means (7), individually or in groups independently, in response to the respective input signal sent, in use, by the detecting means (9) to the at least one program control unit (8).
Abstract:
A tile sorting and stacking system (1), comprising: a sorting carousel (4) comprising carousel arms (6) with gripping means (18); seatings (7) for receiving the tiles; an input line (2) and an output line (9) arranged radially or tangentially to the sorting carousel (4). The gripping means (18) are vertically mobile so as to collect a tile from the input line (2) and to release the tile onto a seating (7). Also comprised are a rotating transfer arm (11); loading means (10) for loading a stack of tiles (8) from a seating (7) onto the transfer arm (11); unloading means (12) for unloading a stack of tiles (8) from the transfer arm (11) onto the output line (9). The transfer arm (11), loading means (10) and the unloading means (12) are arranged and operating in a region of space (13) delimited superiorly by the carousel arms (6) and delimited laterally by the seatings (7), the input line (2) and the output line (9).
Abstract:
A conveyor-collator assembly for use in forming stacks of articles, e.g. concrete roof tiles (T) at speeds of up to 200 tiles per minute, is provided with a conveyor means (42) by which tiles (T) are fed seriatim to a velocity control means (72) whereby each tile (T) is transferred under "no-load" or substantially "no-load" conditions onto a falling shelf conveyor (140). Tiles (T) held in the conveyor (140) are thereafter deposited onto a support (26-28) of a stack forming means (24) under "no-load" or substantially "no-load" conditions whereby breakages of tiles (T) due to "shock loads" experienced hitherto in prior art arrangements is eliminated. The stack-forming means (24) of the conveyor-collator assembly is arranged with the supports (26, 28) thereof mounted for sequential movement through the same spacial path at rates consistent with ensuring that upon the completion of a stack of tiles (T) on one of said supports (26, 28) at a downstream end of the path the other of said supports (26, 28) is approaching an upstream end of said path for facilitating the stacking of tiles (T) in a subsequent stack thereof.
Abstract:
A carrier (230) for a honeycomb body (220) and a method for manufacturing a honeycomb body(220) are provided. The carrier (230) comprises a first side support (234), a second side support (236), and a flexible sheet (240) suspended between the first (234) and second (236) side supports for supporting the honeycomb body (220). The method comprises placing a green honeycomb body (220) on the flexible sheet (240) and transporting the green honeycomb body (220).
Abstract:
The invention concerns a device comprising: a lift system (12) for raising and lowering a stack (24) of part supports (2), a retaining prehensile device (20), located above the lift system (12), and means for loading and/or unloading the parts (4) from their supports (2) and arranged between the lift system (12) and the prehensile device (18).
Abstract:
Conveyor tray apparatus with air bearing and air curtain and methods of use are disclosed herein for use in manufacturing technical ceramics.
Abstract:
An apparatus (10) and process for forming packs and stacking pallets of large-format ceramic tiles includes use of plier groups for removing single tiles exiting from a control and selection station of the tiles, piling the tiles in determined positions on a special support structure and transferring the piles of tiles to a wrapping station of the piles. A further plier group is used to remove the wrapped packs and deposit them, in a predetermined arrangement, on specific pallets destined for transport. The apparatus and relative process obviate a series of drawbacks connected with the prior art, which is essentially concerned with suitable treatment of small-to-medium format tiles.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a novel method and apparatus for supporting a clay slug (10) during the thermal processing necessary for the formation of a finished brick. The present invention further provides a method for obtaining uniform heat distribution during the firing of the clay slugs (10) such that a rapid firing cycle may thereby be obtained. In the preferred embodiment, a plurality of clay slugs (10) are spaced slightly apart and suspended from a rod (15). The rod (15), with the clay slugs (10) suspended therefrom, is then conveyed through the various processing apparatus.
