    Abstract: The present invention relates to a sheet feeding device including a movable wall (6) which is tiltable to regulate the leading edges of sheets stacked. When a sheet feed roller (5) is operated to perform a sheet feeding operation, a loop (12) is formed in the uppermost sheet. After formation of the loop, the movable wall is moved to a regulation release position to remove the loop formed in the uppermost sheet. After removal of the loop (2), the movable wall is returned to a regulation position to raise the leading end of the uppermost sheet so as to separate the uppermost sheet from the second and subsequent sheets.
