Abstract:
A method of separating a sheet of print media from a stack (28) of sheets, the sheets being porous, includes blowing fluid on to a top surface of a topmost sheet (28.1) of the print media on the stack (28) so that the fluid passes through at least the topmost sheet (28.1) of the stack (28) and capturing at least a part of the topmost sheet for conveyance to a printing station (13) of a printer (10).
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention pertains to a process for producing printed sheets from a web run continuously in the transport direction in a rotary offset press, printed on one or both sides, heat-dried and then cooled by running over at least a first cooling roller in a first direction of curvature with a first radius of curvature, from which web the sheets are cut, possibly after folding, characterized in that prior to the run onto the at least one cooling roller the web is redirected with a second radius of curvature in order to produce smooth, unrippled sheets.
Abstract:
A paper sheet guiding cylinder for a printing machine is mounted in the machine side frames, is drivingly linked to the printing machine drive, and has an outer casing provided with through holes. Means are provided for blowing air into the paper sheet guiding cylinder and means located inside the paper sheet guiding cylinder deflect the blown air in the direction of the cylinder casing. In order to deflect the blown air, a radial ventilator is rotatively mounted in the paper sheet guiding cylinder (11) and is linked to driving means which are independent from the paper sheet guiding cylinder. Through holes are provided in the side walls (20) of the paper sheet guiding cylinder (11).
Abstract:
In a device for stacking folded printed items, which are fed in an overlapping manner, a fork (3) enables said items to be collected, and below said fork, a second fork (4) which can be moved upwards and downwards enables collection of the printed items delivered by the first fork (3) and lowering of the stack of products formed on the second fork to a collection table (5); in order to form piles with a cross-arrangement, a slide (6) is associated with said table to allow the alternating movement of the successive piles of printed items transversely in relation to the direction of transport to the right or left, two additional slides being provided to slide each of the piles into the region of a relevant pivoting arm (9), allowing the piles to be oriented alternately through 90 DEG into a position in which successive piles are turned through 180 DEG in relation to each other. A fork (10) which can move upwards and downwards with a back and forth movement in the direction of transport (F) is provided to collect a predetermined number of piles of items in a cross-arrangement.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for cutting a material web (10) in a papermaking machine, comprising a cutting device (20), an upper holding device (30) and an upper positioning device (31), the cutting device (20) being fixed above the upper positioning device (31) on the upper holding device (30) such that it can be moved in the cross-machine direction, and the apparatus additionally having an air guide box (40) and the air guide box (40) being fixed above the material web (10), likewise on the upper holding device (30). Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for cutting a material web (10) in a papermaking machine, comprising the steps moving a cutting device (20) in the cross-machine direction, the cutting device (20) being fixed to an upper holding device (30) such that it can be moved in the cross-machine direction; cutting the material web (10) with the aid of a cutting medium (22) from the cutting device (20); in addition, the following step being carried out stabilizing the material web (10) during the cutting by means of an air guide box (40) above the material web (10), the air guide box (40) likewise being fixed to the upper holding device (30).
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for making bags, including winding bags, is disclosed. The winder includes spindles with sleeves. The sleeves may have holes, be non-stick, removable, and may be tapered. They can be fitted to existing machines.
