Abstract:
The present invention is a post-mix beverage dispensing valve for accurately maintainig the proper ratio of two liquid beverage components. The present invention includes a valve main body (12) having a gear pump (60) secured thereto. The gear pump includes two sets of oval gears (94, 102). One set of oval gears (94) is in fluid communication with a source of pressurized carbonated water, and the second set (102) is in fluid communication with a source of syrup. The valve body also includes solenoid operated pallet valves (22, 34) for each of the beverage components. One gear of each gear pair is secured to a common rotating shaft. Operation of the solenoid provides for simultaneous opening of both pallet valves whereby the pressurized carbonated water provides for the driving of both gear pairs. The desired ratio between the beverage components is maintained at a constant ratio as a function of the size of the gear pairs relative to each other.
Abstract:
The disclosure involves an apparatus comprising a charger subsystem, the charger subsystem comprising at least a first container having a first micro component, and a second container having a second micro component. The apparatus comprises a dispensing machine located downstream of the charger subsystem. The dispensing machine may comprise a third container, a fourth container, a fifth container, and a sixth container, wherein the volume of each is smaller than the volume of the first container and the second container. The first micro component may be conveyed from the first container of the charger subsystem to either the third container or the fourth container of the dispensing machine when either of them is at a predetermined threshold. The second micro component may be conveyed from the second container of the charger subsystem to either the fifth container or the sixth container when either of them is at a predetermined threshold.
Abstract:
The disclosure concerns a system comprising a diluent source configured to provide a flow of the diluent during a first period of time, a highly concentrated micro component source, and a micro dosing device. The micro dosing device may be configured to dose the highly concentrated micro component during a second period of time. The second period of time may be less than the first period of time, and may overlap with a portion of the first period of time. The system may comprise a controller, the controller configured to control the dosing of the highly concentrated micro component by the micro dosing device. The system may comprise a dispenser, the dispenser configured to allow mixing in the dispenser of the highly concentrated micro component dosed by the micro dosing device and the flow of the diluent.
Abstract:
A beverage dispenser (1) receives a fluid container (104) at an installation position (141) and includes a data reader (120) configured to scan product indicia on an installed container. Based on data from that scan data, a controller operates a pump (197) and a valve (206) to mix beverage concentrate from the installed container with a diluent that corresponds to the desired beverage. The controller mixes the concentrate and diluent at a ratio that is based on the scan data. The controller may also select the correct diluent bas on the scan data.
Abstract:

Abstract:
Among other things, beverages are dispensed from one or more beverage dispensers based on selections made by users. Information about the dispensing of the beverages is sent to a central server where it is used to manage a variety of functions including replacement of depleted supplies of components. Various features of the beverage dispensers enable the beverages that are dispensed to be uniform and appealing to users.
