    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing an aqueous polyurushiol nanoliquid, to polyurushiol powder using same, and to the uses thereof. The method comprises: preparing hydrophilic salt by neutralizing a first polymer, which is obtained by polymerizing urushiol, a hydrophilic monomer, and an oxidizing agent, using a neutralizing agent; and preparing a second polymer by polymerizing a water-dispersed emulsion by adding an oxidizing agent to the emulsion. According to the present invention, allergic side effects of the urushiol are prevented, while the unique antibiotic, antifungal, mothproof, and antiseptic properties of the urushiol are maintained. Therefore, the present invention can be usefully applied to compositions for manufacturing soap, cosmetics, water-based paint, plastic products, and for dying fibers.

    Abstract: Aqueous paper sizing dispersions for internal and surface sizing contain colophonium resins or compounds derived from colophonium resins, a minimum amount of an anionic, cationic or non-ionic emulsifier, a subsequently added polymer for stabilising the dispersion, an optional aluminium-ion-containing fixator, an optional synthetic sizing agent and an optional extender. These new dispersions are suitable for finishing paper and cardboard. Also disclosed is a process for producing these aqueous paper sizing dispersions characterised in that during a first stage, a metastable dispersion of a colophonium resin or compound derived therefrom is prepared with a minimum amount of a synthetic emulsifier, this dispersion is immediately cooled, then converted at low temperatures with a polymer solution or dispersion into a stable dispersion.
