Compositions comprising graphene sheets and at least one multifunctional aliphatic compound. The compositions may optionally contain a polymer and/or acid catalysts. The may be in the form of inks or coatings. The multifunctional aliphatic compounds used in the present invention comprise two or more reactive functional groups that comprise at least one heteroatom. The functional groups are preferably nucleophilic or electrophilic, and are capable of reacting with hydroxyl groups, carboxylic acids or carboxylic acid derivates, and/or epoxy groups. This invention relates to a foaming composition, comprising at least one ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer; at least one foaming agent; at least one peroxide compound; at least one polyamine; at least one crosslinking enhancer; at least one primary antioxidant; and at least one secondary antioxidant; the content of the crosslinking enhancer is from 0.1 to 3%by weight based on the total weight of the composition. A foaming article cured from the foaming composition under the temperature range of 80 to 120°C according to the present invention exhibits high initial volume expansion ratio at the baking window from 130 to 200°C and shows excellent stability after storage.

Plastic compositions that include one or more plasticizers containing acylated phenolated fatty acid esters and methods for making same are provided. In some examples, the plastic composition can include a polymer and a plasticizer. The polymer can be or include a polyvinyl chloride, a polyvinylidene chloride, a cellulose ester, a cellulose ether, a cellulose nitrate, a polyacrylate, a polyurethane, a copolymer thereof, or any mixture thereof. The plasticizer can be or include an acylated phenolated fatty acid monoester, an acylated phenolated fatty acid diester, or a mixture thereof. The plastic composition can include the plasticizer in an amount of about 10 wt% to about 60 wt%, based on a combined weight of the polymer, any acylated phenolated fatty acid monoester, and any acylated phenolated fatty acid diester.

The present invention discloses modified polypropylene composition with higher flow activation energy and reduced necking in extrusion film/coat, wherein composition comprises long chain branch of polypropylene; free radical initiator; primary antioxidant; secondary antioxidant; acid neutralizer; optionally multifunctional monomer. Further the said composition of polypropylene shows higher sensitivity of viscosity to temperature, with improved stretchability.

A process for producing a protective film for polarizers which is free from the steaks or spots which generate during film formation from a melt and is less apt to color a polarizer under high-temperature high-humidity conditions. Also provided are: a protective film for polarizers; a polarizer; and a liquid-crystal display. The process for producing a protective film for polarizers is characterized by thermally melting a mixture comprising a cellulose ester, at least one phenyl benzoate compound, a phenol compound, and a compound represented by the general formula (L) and forming a film therefrom by melt casting.

This invention relates to a polymeric pipe, and more particularly a polymeric pipe where the pipe comprises a crosslinked polyolefin formed from extruded polyolefin comprising a photoinitiator. More particularly, this invention relates to the manufacturing of plastic pipes and tubing by utilizing co-rotating twin screw extrusion combined with photo-induced crosslinking, of thermoplastic polymers such as polyethylene, to produce PEX pipes and tubing.
