Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for controlling a wash process in a washing appliance (1), comprising: Supplying a detergent in said washing appliance; Detecting (24) a type of detergent supplied; Performing a wash cycle (26), said wash cycle ending with a washing liquor drain (26a); Performing a rinsing cycle (30; 50; 50'; 50"); wherein, during said rinsing cycle (30; 50; 50'; 50"), in case the type of said detected detergent is a powder detergent: After said washing liquor drain (26a), introducing water (32; 35) into said washing chamber for a first rinsing step, and between said washing liquor drain (26a) and said first water intake (32; 35) tumbling (33; 33a; 33b; 33c; 36; 37; 36a; 37a) laundry in said washing chamber at a revolving speed lower than a minimum spinning speed, which is the speed at which the laundry remain attached to an inner wall of said washing chamber, so that no spinning is performed between said washing liquor drain and said first water intake; or wherein, during said rinsing cycle (30; 50; 50'; 50"), in case the type of said detected detergent is a powder detergent: tumbling said laundry (36, 37, 36a, 37a) for a time interval (T6, T7, T8) different from the corresponding time interval (T1, T2) during which the laundry is tumbled in a rinsing cycle where a liquid or gel detergent is detected.
Abstract:
Method and system for controlling a concentration of ozone is a washing machine to be at or below a target value so that a cumulative contact time of the ozone with laundry approaches a duration of time of an entire wash stage or cycle thereby ensuring killing of any infectious diseases. The method comprises supplying ozone to the washing machine, upon filling the washing machine, and supplementing the supplied ozonated water by supplying additional ozone to the wash machine during each wash stage or cycle, and controlling the supply of ozone supplied to the wash machine so that the concentration of ozone sampled or exhausting from the washing machine is controlled to be within a control band between 60% and 100% of the target value and the cumulative contact time of the ozone with the laundry is at least 60% of the duration of the entire wash stage or cycle.
Abstract:
An apparatus and system for detecting the delivery or nondelivery of a cleaning and sanitizing agent or chemical in automated dishwashers, warewashers, and laundry machines. A detector, comprising a one or more sensors or two or more electrical electrodes are positioned outside the ends of the delivery tube or tubes for the sanitizing agent or chemical. As the sanitizing agent or chemical liquid is released from the delivery tube or tubes, the liquid forms a stream of flow through the air. The flow passes within sensing range of the sensor or sensors, or encompasses the electrical electrodes thereby completing an electrical circuit. When the sensor detects the flow and the sensor is activated, or the circuit completes, a control unit prevents an alarm from sounding. The control unit also causes a flow or spray of water or rinsate to be directed onto the electrical sensors or electrodes, thereby diluting or rinsing any remaining chemical or agent from the conducting surfaces of the sensors or electrodes.
Abstract:
A control method of a laundry machine is disclosed. A control method of a laundry machine comprising a spinning cycle includes a sensing step configured to sense a rotation speed (rpm) of a motor while increasing a pulse duty of the motor during the spinning cycle and a determining step configured to determine bubble generation inside a tub based on the sensed pulse duty and rotation speed.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A method of determining an operational parameter of a washing system having a wash tank to which water and material are added. In some embodiments, the method includes establishing a communication link between a sensor and a controller. The sensor is positioned in the wash tank and transmits a signal indicative of a material concentration. The controller receives the signal. Additionally, the method includes adding material to water in the wash tank, monitoring the material concentration while material is being added, and stopping the material addition upon the material concentration reaching a predetermined material concentration. The controller then determines an operational parameter indicative of the amount of material that is needed to reach the predetermined material concentration.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a washer/dryer (1) and a control method thereof wherein it is accomplished that redundant water and energy consumption are precluded by minimizing negative aspects in the washing performance that may stem from inadequate or excessive water intake by effectively considering all parameters in the washing medium affecting water intake process.
