Abstract:
A novel polyolefin textile fabric knitted woven and non-woven that in one aspect of the invention is disperse dyed to a light, medium or deep solid hade. In another aspect, the textile fabrics of the present invention are manufactured using polyolefin yarns that contain variable amounts of dye acceptor additives. A fabric with more than one tone of a color is dyed in a single dye bath. The fabrics and yarn using this invention can be processed using conventional spinning, weaving, knitting, web forming machines and will dye using existing dyeing and finishing systems. This invention is of particular value in the apparel and home furnishings industry.

Abstract:
The present invention concerns a method for treating textile material, such as fabrics and yarns. In particular, the invention concerns a method for obtaining a fabric with a "denim look" and the fabric thus obtained. In particular, the present invention concerns a method for treating textile materials, comprising the following operating steps in succession: f) providing a warp made up of a raw yarn; g) coating said raw yarn of the warp with a composition containing a cationizing agent; h) drying and polymerising said cationizing agent on said raw yarn of the warp; i) sizing said raw yarn of the warp obtained according to step c) through passage in a size composition; j) drying said raw yarn of the warp obtained according to step d).
Abstract:
Customers obtain customized textile materials by selecting style, shape, size, pattern and color for an undyed textile product. Based on a selection made by the customer, the textile product is transformed by a dyeing operation performed on a single item to yield a product, such as a shirt, pants, or jacket, which has a color and pattern of his or her own choosing, in the size and style he or she desires. The process can be performed in a retail setting using a dye machine which allows the process to be viewed by the customer. Preferably, the textile material is constructed from yarns which include cationic cotton alone or in combination with natural cotton or other natural or synthetic fibers, and using anionic dyes, such as a fiber reactive dye, such that the dye is exhausted during the process and effluent from the dye machine is environmentally friendly without excess dye, salts, and alkalis. To enhance the educational and entertainment experience of the customer, the dyeing operation can be performed in a transparent tank or water kettle in the retail outlet so that the customer can view, for example, the garment as it is being dyed to the customer's specifications.
Abstract:
An iridescent effect is achieved in satin weave filling-faced fabric using sheath-core filaments wherein the core is dyed to a color that is different from that of the sheath.
Abstract:
A fiber comprising: a base polymer comprising an aromatic polyester or nylon-6; and an alkylene oxide-containing nonionic surfactant mixed within the base polymer; wherein the alkylene oxide-containing nonionic surfactant has a melting point of greater than 25°C and an HLB of greater than 10. An article comprising a plurality of said fibers, wherein a dye is present in a greater amount in a first portion of the fibers than in other portions of the fibers of the article.
Abstract:
