Abstract:
Abstract:
A sewing machine wherein integrally attached to a cylindrical driving ring circumferentially reciprocated around a cylinder bed and linearly reciprocated along the axis of the cylinder bed is a cylindrical frame which holds a cylindrical material, the driving ring being rotatably supported by a support member disposed so that the driving member contacts the support member at three or more circumferential places. With such arrangement employed, the driving ring and hence the frame body attached thereto can be reduced in diameter, and the driving ring can be supported by the support member in a stabilized manner for smooth rotation. As a result, a cylindrical material of small diameter, such as a golf club cover or a wrist band, can be held by the frame body, so that sewing by machine, such as embroidery, can be properly applied to the periphery of the cylindrical material.
Abstract:
A wound care mask, comprising a single piece of fabric knitted from a first yarn; at least one stress release dart knitted within the single piece of fabric; and at least one flap having hooks disposed and integrally formed within the single piece of fabric, wherein the at least one flap having hooks is adapted to engage the single piece of fabric to releasably tighten or loosen a fit to a head, is disclosed.
Abstract:
The present invention comprises a fabric-based sensor for monitoring vital signs or other electrical impulses of a subject. The sensor is woven or knitted from conductive fibers and, when in contact with the body, receives signals from the wearer and transmits them to a processing or monitoring device through a data-output terminal. The sensor may be integrated into the fabric of a garment or used independently as a conductive patch. Additionally, the sensor may provide bi-directional communication by both monitoring electrical impulses and sending them.
Abstract:
A textile comprising a plurality of synthetic fibers and a plurality of active particles. The plurality of synthetic fibers comprise a plurality of meta-aramid and/or para-aramid fibers. The plurality of active particles are physically embedded in the plurality of synthetic fibers. The plurality of active particles comprise a higher heat stability temperature than the plurality of synthetic fibers.
Abstract:
Machine (1) for embroidering a hat comprising a frame (5), a head (10) mounted to the frame and provided with upper embroidering members (15), a vertical column (25) having a lower end (26) fastened to the frame and a free upper end (27) provided with lower embroidering members, and a positioning device (50) comprising a support (70), removably housing the hat, and members (60) for moving the support with respect to the frame so as to make an embroidery on the hat, the positioning device being structured so that the support rotates around a first axis (I), orthogonal to an axis of development of the vertical column, and around a second axis (II), orthogonal to the first axis and to the axis of development, and intersecting the first axis in a center of rotation (C) vertically aligned with, and at a lower level than, a point in space (P).
Abstract:
There is described a fabric comprising metal-coated fibres wherein the metal-coated fibres are capable of providing shielding from electromagnetic radiation. In particular, the present invention relates to clothing made from a fabric comprising metal -coated fibres, wherein the clothing provides shielding from electromagnetic radiation.
