Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to roadway delineators with one or more light sources that provide illumination and increased visibility. In accordance with one implementation, the delineator includes a mounting apparatus that provides both a mounting surface and structural support. In addition, the delineator may be self-powered and include a solar array and/or a rechargeable power source for the one or more light sources. Multiple delineators may be used together with a roadway barrier to create a roadway safety system.

Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
A barrier (301) includes recycled rubber portions (101) and a binder (102) molded around a core infrastructure (401). The core infrastructure may itself include a filler material (404) in the form of recycled rubber in a containment body (401). The containment body may include baled recycled or other waste material. The barriers may be stacked or connected to form a barrier structure useful in environmental control and other applications. The method for making the barriers includes molding rubber portions and a binder around a core infrastructure.
Abstract:
Banner apparatus (10) for supporting a flexible banner(16), the apparatus comprising a spindle and an attachment element attached to the spindle and arranged to enable the flexible banner to be releasably coupled to the spindle.
Abstract:
An anti-ram system and method of construction having a shallow mounted base pad from which extend a plurality of bollards. Very little or only a shallow excavation is required for the base of the bollard system, which can be partially or fully assembled prior to bringing it to the installation site. The shallow mounting pad or base of the bollard system of this invention may be formed or constructed in various ways and of various materials, and in various configurations. The shallow mounting pad or base is constructed so as to have considerable mass.
Abstract:
An over-height vehicle barrier has a supporting beam mounted above a carriageway, with multiple blade-like members rotatably mounted to the supporting beam such that the blade-like members are suspended downwardly from the beam in parallel relationship and in close proximity one to another. A leading edge of each member faces oncoming traffic on the carriageway for possible engagement by an over-height vehicle such that each member can rotate about the axis of the beam independently of the other members when struck by an over-height vehicle. A further beam is engageable by the rotating members when struck by a vehicle to limit the extent of rotation about the axis of the beam and to thereby cause the members to rotate in a return direction. Engagement of the members by a vehicle generates a warning noise to alert the driver of the vehicle and the further beam itself can generate further additional noise when engaged by the rotating members.
Abstract:
A device for restricting the passage of motorcycles and quad bikes whilst allowing the passage of pedestrians, prams and wheelchairs is provided. The device comprising two barriers placed in opposition to each other wherein the distance between the upper part of the two barriers is less than the distance between the lower part of the two barriers. Means are provided for adjusting the distance between the two barriers during installation, thereby allowing the device to restrict access to vehicles of predetermined dimensions as selected during installation.
Abstract:
In a barrier system comprising an upright support, at least one barrier member (2) and a receiving member (1), the receiving member (1) is capable of being received at the upper end of an upright support, and has a plurality of open-ended passageways (10), the open ends of the passageways being spaced about the circumference of the receiving member (1). Each passageway has an engaging element (12) that projects into the passageway and is retractable therefrom independently of the engaging elements in the other passageways. Engaging means (25a) for co-operating with the engaging elements are provided on the end of the barrier member (2) so that the end of the barrier member can be secured releasably in the passageway (10). In use of the barrier system of the invention, an end of a barrier member (2) may be engaged in or released from a passageway (10) independently of any barrier members engaged in the other passageways.
