The present invention relates to an air admittance valve (AAV) that operates automatically at low pressures to selectively open and close an air passageway between an inlet and an outlet. The AAV comprises a valve body having a centrally disposed, intemal valve chamber in communication with the ambient environment, and having a valve seat. The AAV includes a sealing member having a flexible diaphragm that is fastened to a support ring, the ring defining one or more lugs on an outer periphery thereof. The AAV further includes a cap member within which the sealing member may be disposed, such that the one or more lugs may interact with an interior surface of the cap. The sealing member may selectively seal or unseal from the valve seat in response to pressure differentials between the inlet and the outlet.

A valve-venting method increases the durability of flow restrictors within gas venting valves used on large diameter water and sewer pipelines such that transient high pressure conditions that can cause rapid adiabatic heating of the discharging gases are prevented from causing flow erosion and debris wear induced by the high velocities and thermal softening of the valve components. The method utilizes wear resistant orifice inserts that are more conductive than the valve component to better distribute the heat, and dynamic surge control geometry to slow the heat flow and provide progressive water-hammering control during high pressure events.

A sewer overflow relief device for mounting at a top end of a sewer overflow relief pipe, the device including: a top cover (30) having at least one outside air intake (36); air flow control means (72) for controlling the flow of outside air into the sewer overflow relief pipe; wherein, in use, the device prevents outside water from entering the sewer and the device may be ejected from the sewer overflow relief pipe by sewage pressure pushing against the device, thereby allowing the sewer overflow relief pipe to overflow.

A full-flowing drainage bowl for drainage of a roof is preferably circular with water inflow over its circumferential upper edge and has a central outflow opening in the bottom, which outflow opening has a plate (5) above the opening which is larger than the outflow opening. The surrounding edge of the plate is placed mainly in the plane of the surrounding roof plane. In order to improve the known designs so that the bowl can be arranged lowered in the roof plane and has a small height and prevents formation of vortex at the dimensioning flow amount, the plate (5) consists of an even part (6) which is concentric with the outflow opening (2) and larger than the outflow opening and has a ringshaped part (8) being bended upwardly from the circumferential edge of the concentric part. The under side of the even part (6) is placed not higher than the upper edge of the bowl and the ringshaped part (8) forms a circumferential gap (a) between itself and the upper edge of the bowl, the throughflow area of said gap (a) being larger than the throughflow area of the outflow opening (2). The diameter of the bowl decides the throughflow capacity of the bowl also when the depths of the bowl is kept small.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung für die Beeinflussung des Geruches, welcher von Schachtöffnungen von untertage verlaufenden Abwasserkanälen ausgeht, wobei in zur Umgebungsluft hin offenen Schächten (1) zu untertage verlaufenden Abwasserkanälen, Wassertröpfchen in die Luft versprüht werden. Die Sprühvorrichtung umfasst ein Wasser enthaltendes Druckgefäß (3) und eine Düse (4) mit einer oder mehreren feinen Öffnung durch welche Wasser aus dem Druckgefäß (3) entweichen kann, wobei im Druckgefäß (3) ein hydrostatischer Druck herrscht, welcher gegenüber dem Umgebungsdruck um mindestens 2 bar erhöht ist, und wobei der Durchmesser von einer oder mehreren Düsenöffnungen weniger als 130 μιτι beträgt.

본 발명은 긴 길이의 하수관정에 적용되는 악취제거시스템에 관한 것으로, 하수관정의 상부에 일정한 간격으로 설치되는 탈취장치 및 상기 탈취장치와 연결되어 상기 하수관정 내부에 설치되며, 냉각장치를 포함하는 악취급배기장치를 기본 구성으로 하고, 하수관정 내부에는 기류차단막을, 배출구와 맨홀에는 능동적으로 작동하는 악취확산방지판을 설치함으로써 하수관정 전반에 걸쳐 발생할 수 있는 모든 악취를 효과적으로 차단할 수 있는 하수관정 악취제거시스템을 제공한다.
