The lid portion is coupled is coupled to a slurry compression system (420) for compressing the cement slurry in the mold as such to produce building units having precise dimensions. Further included in the apparatus is a block raising device (520) to eject the cement blocks when the molding is completed.
Abstract:
An interlocking block system for mortarless wall or other structure assembly in which a plurality of blocks are laid up in courses in a staggered relationship. Only two different block configurations are required, the first, or long, blocks (10) having a length at least twice the block height and the second, or short, blocks (38) having a length up to half the length of the first blocks. Each of the blocks (10) and (38) has a pair of bottom surfaces and generally parallel outermost side surfaces and has at least two spaced transverse walls. Protrusions (18), (20), (40) and (42) on the inner surfaces of the sidewalls extend from a base generally coplanar with the bottom surface to a tip extending above the block top surface and configured so that the tips and bases interlock when the blocks are laid up in staggered courses.
Abstract:
Formwork system comprising first and second plate means (21, 25, 26) which therebetween form a casting space (24) for concrete or the like, and which have a number of spacers (22, 23), at least one of said plate means and the spacers being adapted to be incorporated into a finished wall after casting. The first plate means comprise first plate element (21) having groove and tongue profiles (32) at least along the edges which are adapted to lie horizontally when mounted. The first plate elements have such thickness that the first plate means alone can stand with required stability. First spacer elements (22) are adapted to co-operate with the groove and tongue profiles and have coupling members (22A) adapted to project into the casting space (24). The second plate means comprise second plate elements (25, 26) having longitudinal edges adapted to lie horizontally and substantially level with said edges of the first plate elements (21). Second spacer elements are adapted to be anchored between said longitudinal edges of the second plate elements (25, 26) and to project into the casting space with coupling members (23A) shaped for interconnection with the coupling members (22A) on the first spacer elements (22).

Abstract:
An interlocking block system building system for block walls which employs an "H" shaped open ended block to build any size walled structure. The device features a first block having a center portion connecting and two parallel sidewalls with two open ends opposite the endwalls. A plurality of interlocking tabs projecting from the top surface of the blocks engage with receptors in blocks stacked above. Projections and recesses formed on the distal edges of the blocks are adapted to engage with projections and recesses formed on the endwalls of adjacent blocks in a wall. The distal edge engagements may be translated to allow for adjustment of block spacing and ultimate wall size.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for efficiently forming individual building units is provided, generally includes providing a plurality of molds, each capable of simultaneously forming a plurality of building units. Batches of cementitious slurry are individually mixed in order to control the density of each building unit formed. The ingredients are individually measured and combined into the mixing device. The cementitious slurry is then conveyed or transported and poured into one of the molds. The method provides the ability to control the amount of cementitious slurry in each batch in order to control to the extent possible the quantity of cementitious slurry poured into each mold and the ability to precisely control the dimensions of each building unit produced.
Abstract:
An insulated building block system for use in building walls and other structures. Each full block (12) has sidewalls (16) and endwalls (18) with a generally open interior and flat upper and lower surfaces. Two vertical ridges (20) are provided along the interior of one sidewall, with a protrusion (22) extending above the upper surface. The ridges (20) are located such that an upper block arranged in staggered relationship to a block in a lower course will interlock with the lower block. Recesses are provided in the interior endwall surfaces to retain a thermal insulation panel (30) against the interior sidewall surface opposite the ridges. Half blocks (14) are also provided to fill spaces in wall end surfaces between staggered full blocks. The half blocks have open interiors for placement of insulation panels (42) and include ridges for interlocking with protrusions on adjacent full blocks (12).
Abstract:

Methods of constructing walls using these blocks and a cylindrical building block are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Building element comprising cement, waste sludge and fiber ingredients as main constituents, aiming at among other things an advantageous utilization of sewage and industrial sludge. The amount of sludge and fiber ingredients which are in the form of coarse-cut woodchips, together constitute a substantial main portion of the material in the element. The proportion of woodchips is approximately equal to or larger than the proportion of sludge, and the proportion of cement is of the order of magnitude 10 %. During the manufacturing of the element the sludge is introduced with a degree of moisture of about 60 to 70 %.
