Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a building panel having a laminate structure, the laminate structure including a topcoat layer comprising a first intumescent composition, a cellulosic veneer layer, an adhesive layer formed from an adhesive composition comprising a second intumescent composition, and a metallic substrate layer and wherein the cellulosic veneer layer is at least partially bonded to the metallic substrate by the adhesive layer. The resulting building panel exhibits superior flame retardancy resulting in a Class A fire rating, according to ASTM E-84.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for installation of ceiling tiles in an improved mounting hook assembly to form a concealed grid system, the mounting hook assembly being attachable to a mounting stud (1) having recess on top portion to accommodate screws and fixed at the back of each tiles, and consisting of a rotating load bearing lever member (LL) that transfers the weight of the tile onto a flange of a suspending inverted T bar grid; a short rotating lever member (PL) assigned for positioning the tiles with pre-determined length so that the PL lever when facing the T grid on either side of the tiles, a distance between the ends of positioning levers on opposite side is less than the opening in the grid; a plurality of screws and washers, the method comprising attaching the mounting hook assembly to the tile; rotating the load bearing lever member; rotating the positioning lever member to position the load bearing member on the flange of the T grid bar; and fixing the tile below the T grid at a distance that is greater than the thickness of the tile so that when the tile is lifted up, the load bearing lever are returned to a position above the flange level of the T grid and any tile can be removed or installed in totally concealed grid system without dislocating tiles already laid.
Abstract:
A ceiling suspension system comprises a flexible panel, a first support structure and a plurality of elongate support members, wherein each elongate support member comprises a first end and a second end. The first end of each elongate support member is coupled to the first support structure and the second end of each elongate support member is coupled to the flexible panel. The coupling between the elongate support members and the flexible panel is arranged to force the flexible panel into a desired shape.
Abstract:
A system for supporting loads from a support structure. The load is supported with threaded rods that are connected from above and below a suspended ceiling of roll-formed sheet metal beams. Clips on the rods connected to the beams pass the load through the suspended ceiling grid without bending or twisting the grid, so that the suspended ceiling remains level, balanced, and intact above the suspended load.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a suspended ceiling system (1) comprising a grid of profiles (3) comprising at least one runner (12) each being provided with a plurality of defined fixing points(30), the grid of profiles (3) being suspended in a ceiling structure (11) by means of pressure resistant suspension members (13) in order to sustain upwardly directed loads; a ceiling panel (10, 10a, 10b) provided with one or more attachment structures fixed to a rear surface of the ceiling panel, and at least one attachment point in said one or more attachment structures; and one connection member (20) for each attachment point (52); wherein each connection member (20) is connected to a selected one of said defined fixing points; and wherein each of the connection members (20) comprises a lock arranged to releasably connect to one of the at least one attachment points (52) of said ceiling panel (10, 10a, 10b) in response to the attachment point (52) being pushed in an upward direction towards the lock; whereby the ceiling panel (10, 10a, 10b) is suspended by said at least one runner (12). The present invention further relates to a method for mounting such a suspended ceiling.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an apparatus for covering a wall surface of an accommodation area, in particular the ceiling thereof, which apparatus comprises a group of parallel profile elements (2, 3) placed at a distance from each other and a number of tile-like panel elements of suitable material extending in each case between two profile elements and supported thereby, wherein the profile elements are provided with at least one cavity (8) in which insulation material (16) can be arranged in order to improve the acoustic insulation.
Abstract:
A ceiling system in one embodiment includes an overhead support grid including a plurality of downward facing grid faces and an array of rectilinear grid openings. A plurality of grid-concealment ceiling panels are disposed in the grid openings and arranged diagonally such that corners of the panels are disposed proximate to mating corners of diagonally adjacent panels. Each panel includes peripheral edge portions which extend beneath and at least partially conceal grid faces surrounding the grid opening in which each panel is mounted. In one embodiment, the grid faces are completely concealed. Mating corners of ceiling panels meet at mutually configured chamfered corner surfaces which lie at cruciform intersections between the grid faces. The ceiling panels are arranged in diagonal rows in the support grid. Diagonal rows of filler ceiling panels are provided between diagonal rows of grid-concealment ceiling panels.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a dampening assembly (10) for reducing vibrations, sound or noise, comprising: a first structure, a second structure and a resilient attachment member attaching the first structure to the second structure.
Abstract:
A ceiling system includes an overhead support grid defining a grid opening and a ceiling die positioned in the opening. The ceiling tile includes a first tegular edge and an opposing second edge, to one embodiment, the second edge may be tegular. The first tegular edge may have a different configuration than the first tegular edge so that the ceiling tile rests in an angled position when mounted in the support grid. When mounted, the bottom surface of the ceiling tile is angled with respect to the support grid. The first tegular edge includes an end surface defining an exposed reveal that is visible below the grid. By selecting various horizontal orientations of multiple ceiling tiles in adjacent grid openings in the ceiling system, different artistic patterns may be created. In one embodiment, the ceiling tile has a substantially uniform thickness.
Abstract:
