Abstract:
A taping knife (10), including a blade (12) having a proximal end (14) and a distal end (16), a bracket (18) having a first portion (20) arranged generally parallel to the blade and attached to the blade proximal end and a second portion (22) arranged generally perpendicular to the first portion, and a handle (28) configured for rotation-free engagement with the bracket second portion.
Abstract:
The wipe-down knife herein is assembled upon an elongate handle, one end of which is fitted with a generally cylindrical blade-supporting head. The head has a collar and lever arm on one end for securely engaging the handle shaft, and a pair of closely opposed pads and a pivot pin on its other end for engaging a blade-supporting plate. A bracket which grasps the blade at its base is affixed to the blade-supporting plate. The plate is wide and flexible, projecting from the blade support at a right angle to the longitudinal axis of the knife's handle. The blade curves away from the blade-supporting bracket at a right angle, such that the plane of the blade's working edge is parallel with the handle's longitudinal axis.
Abstract:
An ergonomic hand tool comprising a handle (5), a tool (6), and a hand tool body (O) joining the handle and the tool, characterised in that it comprises at least one support ridge (14) for supporting a thumb, when in use, the support ridge being arranged in or on the handle, the hand tool body, or both. Further, a floatable hand tool comprising a buoyant hand tool body (O) for joining a handle (5) and a tool (6) of the hand tool, wherein the body comprises an elongated body with a handle part (OA) and a tool part (OB), and being adapted so that the elongated body floats in a liquid (L) with its longitudinal axis parallel to the surface of the liquid with the handle part above the tool part; a method of producing a floatable hand tool, and a hand tool kit.
Abstract:
A universal trowel having a handle affixed to a base place to which is adhered a substrate, wherein the lower surface of the base plate and the upper surface of the substrate have complimentary engaging-engaging strips engageable and disengageable one strip with another. Disengagement of the strips allows for the substrate to be discarded when required and replaced with another substrate. This negates the need to discard the full trowel with a significant saving in monetary cost and inconvenience. Each individual universal trowel may be used for grouting, floating, sponge sanding, glue, plaster, concrete application, thin set, and scrubbing.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The subject of this invention is a multifunctional plastering arc for working on shape elements. It comprises a smoothing surface (1) with at least one attaching handle (4), where the smoothing surface (1) is made of a flexible and elastic material, and has a serrated edge (3) preferably on its longer edge. Furthermore, on the side opposite the work surface there are at least two fasteners (2) which are in mating connection with the handle fastener (5) and also serve as a flap for holding the tool with the fingers.
Abstract:
A drainage wall cladding system including a substrate backing assembly, an insulation layer, and elongated adhesive ribbons compressed between the substrate backing assembly and the insulation layer. Prior to compression, the ribbons have a base portion and a top portion formed on the base portion. After compression, the top portion is substantially compressed and the base portion is minimally compressed, wherein the adhesive ribbons are formed such that formation of cavities is minimized. Preferably, the base and top portions are trapezoidal in cross- sectional shape. A trowel or push box may be used to form the adhesive ribbons. An edge of such trowel and a blade of such push box define one or more notches to create ribbons with a trapezoidal base portion and a smaller trapezoidal top portion.
Abstract:
A taping knife (10), including a blade (12) having a proximal end (14) and a distal end (16), a bracket (18) having a first portion (20) arranged genet^rally paralleel to the blade and attached to the blade proximal end and a second portion (22) arranged generally perpendicular to the first portion, and a handle (28) configured for rotation-free engagement with the bracket second portion.
Abstract:
The present invention describes a skimming trowel and kit for use with same comprising a handle (2) and at least one member (8) having securing means (12-18) for its temporary attachment to the trowel, the member (8) providing a flat surface which is comprised of an at least partially flexible impact and ultra-violet resistant plastics material.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a building accessory (10) for plastering and optionally for jointing. The accessory includes a radiussed angle-profile concave working surface (24) for plastering and shaping an outer corner defined at an intersection between two walls of a building structure and a radiussed angle-profile convex working surface (32) for plastering and shaping an inner corner defined at an intersection between two walls. The accessory further includes a mounting arrangement (16) located between the respective radii of the concave working surface and the convex working surface and a griping member (18) connected to the mounting arrangement. The concave and convex working surfaces are movable between two operative positions in which it is lockable for use on concave and convex working surface respectively.
