Abstract:
The present invention provides an applicator used in construction or repair work, which, during applying the sealing material, mastic or other elastic material to the joints or gaps of various surfaces, helps to smoothen or remove or collect said excess material. Said applicator comprises the attachment portion or base (2), attached to the sealing material tube, which is made up of the conical collar (11) that is attached to the nozzle of the tube of viscous material, and the support (12) which is a trough-shaped element or channel (13) into which a rotatable or raised part (3) is attached by way of an axle and in which there is linearly moveable footing (14) with a smoothening pad (15) attached to the sled.
Abstract:
The present invention consists in a nozzle for the efficient injection of viscous fluids into holes, cracks or groves through a mechanism preventing the draining outwardly of the volume to fill, which is obtained by incorporating to the injector's tip a screen with a central boring adjusted to the injector tip's surface, preferably of a semi-spherical form and of ferrous material, where said screen shows some freedom of movement levels with respect to the injector, thanks to screen's central boring being surrounded of magnets and having a semi-spherical profile that supplements the injector's tip.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for sealing a fastener element. A structure may be positioned over a seal cap that has been adhered and sealed to the fastener element. A number of projections associated with the structure may be moved along an interface formed between the seal cap and an object in which the fastener element has been installed such that the number of projections removes at least a portion of excess material around the seal cap while moving along the interface between the seal cap and the object.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a caulking tool (1) comprising: an elongate body portion (10) having a longitudinal axis (A), a first opening (11) formed at a first inlet end (11'), the inlet end (11') further being configured for connection to a source of caulking material, a second opening (12) formed at a second outlet end (12'), and a tapering tubular portion (13) formed there between; a caulking vane component (20) comprising a caulking vane (20' ) connected to or connectable to said elongate body portion (10), wherein said vane (20') comprises a substantially straight front edge (21), and two side edges (22, 23) configured to extend from the outlet (12) to the straight front edge (21); wherein said vane (20) defines a plane (P), and is devoid of openings or holes, wherein said plane (P) forms an angle (V1) of 0-5° relative to said longitudinal axis (A) of the elongate body portion (10); wherein said plane (P) of said vane (20) is configured to be substantially flush with the outlet (12); wherein said straight front edge (21) extend to two sides of said outlet (12), and where said straight front edge (21) forms a second angle (V2) relative to said longitudinal axis (A) in the interval of 95-110°.
Abstract:
An applicator system, including an application head, for applying a coating composition onto a surface, such as a floor. The head is particularly suited for applying a consistent thin coating, such as coating less than 5 mil thick, on the surface, following the gross contours of the surface. The coating can be a two-component or two-part system, and can have a high solids level. The head is suited for applying a coating composition with an applicator system that includes a multi-compartment plastic bag or pouch, to separate individual components of the coating composition prior to reacting the individual components together to form the coating composition, the pouch having internal seals that are readily and controllably rupturable.
Abstract:
Apparatus for use with a hand manipulable flowable material dispenser (10), the combination comprising a dispensing nozzle (11) associated with the dispenser to dispense material, and a spreader surface (17) associated with the nozzle whereby the dispenser may be manipulated to cause the spreader surface to spread material dispensed via the nozzle, and the spreader surface can be used to spread material around after it is dispensed.
Abstract:
The wipe-down knife herein is assembled upon an elongate handle, one end of which is fitted with a generally cylindrical blade-supporting head. The head has a collar and lever arm on one end for securely engaging the handle shaft, and a pair of closely opposed pads and a pivot pin on its other end for engaging a blade-supporting plate. A bracket which grasps the blade at its base is affixed to the blade-supporting plate. The plate is wide and flexible, projecting from the blade support at a right angle to the longitudinal axis of the knife's handle. The blade curves away from the blade-supporting bracket at a right angle, such that the plane of the blade's working edge is parallel with the handle's longitudinal axis.
Abstract:
A device (20) for the application and manipulation of a substance on a substrate includes a handle (22) having a distal end (26) and a proximal end (24) and a working tip (42). The working tip (42) is comprised of a flexible, polymer material and has a proximal end (46) that includes structure defining at least one aperture (56) or channel (160). A cavity (40) is located at the distal end (26) of the handle (22) into which the proximal end (46) of the working tip (42) is inserted. The working tip (42) is secured in the cavity (40) by a flowable adhesive material (50) which at least partially penetrates the aperture (56) or channel (160) prior to curing. The cured adhesive material (50) adheres to at least a portion of an interior surface of the cavity (40) and forms solid pins in the apertures (56) or corresponding ridges (160) in the channels (160) of the proximal end (46) of the working tip (42), thereby securing the working tip (42) within the cavity (40). Methods for creating a device (20) in accordance with the present invention, either with or without a ferrule (28) are also disclosed. Preferably, the working tip (42) is made of silicone or a polymer material having surface release characteristics similar to silicone.
