Abstract:
An electronic deadbolt includes a motor with a shaft and a shaft axis, and a lead screw rotatably mounted about an axis. A deadbolt linearly extends from a housing based on rotation of the lead screw. A gear set with a plurality of gears, each having an axis, operably connects the motor and the lead screw. A circuit board has a plurality of portions communicatively connected by a ribbon. Each portion is disposed substantially orthogonal to the motor shaft axis, the lead screw axis, and the plurality of gear axes. An electronic keeper includes a housing defining an interior chamber, and a face plate that defines a deadbolt opening. A circuit board has a first portion and second portion communicatively connected via a flexible ribbon. A battery holder is connected to the first portion. A sensor is connected to the second portion and is disposed proximate the deadbolt opening.
Abstract:
A detector unit for detecting the position and/or the state of movement of movable elements containing ferromagnetic material and relating especially to locking arrangements, said detector unit comprising a reed-relay (2) and permanent magnetic means (1). The reed-relay (2) is fixed to the permanent magnetic means (1) to a position, in which the magnetic flux provided by the permanent magnetic means (1) includes an essential deviation so that the reed-relay (2) is not normally switched on.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a window status sensor system which may be of particular use with a casement window of a domestic property. The window status sensor system may cooperate with or may be integrated into a home automation system. The present invention provides a window status sensor system which provides positive feedback on the status of the actual locking mechanism and the position of the locking rod 18. In particular, the present invention provides a signal concerning the position of the locking rod 18 and the associated locking lugs 20. Accordingly, a user will know that the window 10 is actually locked rather than being merely in a closed position. The window status sensor system detects and monitors the actual position of the locking rod 18 rather than merely monitoring the position of the window sash 14 and/or the locking handle 16 etc. Accordingly, this feedback provides positive reassurance that the locking lugs 20 are actually in an engaged/locked position.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A door latch (1) couples energy between a closed door (3) and its jamb (10), eg for remote control of an on-door lock. The latch includes an energy coupler (20) which is mechanically coupled to the latch bolt. As the bolt advances and retracts across the door-jamb gap, the energy coupler moves similarly. The coupler may couple electromagnetically by a transformer or electrically by contacts (20). A corresponding coupler (31) in an auto-aligning latch strike (12), for co-operating with the latch, is attached to a frame by which the strike is fixed to a door jamb. Movement of the coupler relative to the strike frame is restrained in two of three orthogonal directions, while allowed in the third so that the strike and latch couplers can align. Electrical connection via an elongated and cantilevered electrical contact (25L) in the latch is broken by retraction of the latch bolt, to resist tampering attempts.
Abstract:
An electromechanical lock with remote control is on offer being a locking system, invisible from the outside, additional for standard doors, consisting of a hollow metallic beam (1) of closed profile, in which are positioned rails (2, 4) on which slide from inside toward outside latches (3) connected with placed inside the beam racks (6). The racks are clutched to a cogwheel (9) which one is connected in a groove-way by means of a polyherdal pignon (12), with the shaft of an el-gear motor (17). The el-gear motor (17) is fixed to beam (1). The latches (3) going out enter the orifices of blocklets (18) fixed on the door-frame and the adjoining wall. The electrical engine is remotely run/controlled. The signal for locking is connected with the input for activating the stand-by position of the alarming device (26) connected with activating pressure-sensors (19) placed within the blocklets (18) over the edges of the latches (3); and the signal for unlocking is connected also with the input for switching off the alarm and also with the input for activating the alarm - are connected by conductors two electrically insulated by folio (15) and sticked together metallic plates (13) and (14) connected with a resistor (16) having a specific value. The two plates (13) and (14) are positioned on the carrying part (7) in the beam (1) between an orifice in it and the pignon (12). On the orifice on the (12) pignon axle - on the side of the plates there is a "bolt-like carving".
Abstract:
A switch box (100) for installation in or on a structure in which an article moves between a closed position and an open position relative to the structure, the switch box (100) including a front wall, a rear wall, a pair of side walls, a top wall and bottom wall and a tamper link device (121) positioned across one of the walls to detect tampering with the box (100), the tamper link device (121) including a link that is part of an electrical circuit which is broken when the link is dislodged by tampering upon whioh an alarm signal is triggered. A further switch box (300) has a switch (302), switch actuator (318) with the switch (302) mounted adjacent an internal surface of at least one of the walls.
Abstract:
A lock is disclosed including magnetic and mechanical locking features. The mechanical lock means operates in response to an attempt to force open the lock. The mechanical lock means includes a pin and at least one locking element; the mechanical lock means operates by engagement of the at least one locking element with a recess.
