Abstract:
A door stop device comprising a dock member, a receiving channel to facilitate placement of the device onto a door hinge, and an attaching means suitable for removably attaching the door stop device to an item of clothing worn by a user. The door prop device of the present invention is designed to be readily accessible and available for immediate use by those who primarily work in, or provide service to, the resort, hotel and motel industries.
Abstract:
A doorstop (10) is adapted for use with a doorjamb (12) and a door (14) that is hinged thereto. The doorjamb comprises a post member (18) and a shoulder (20) . The doorstop (10) comprises a stop member having a first body portion (26) and a second body portion (28) and a screw-threaded rod (30) which extends between the body portions , permitting the body portions to be screwed relative to one another for adjusting the effective length of the stop member . The body portion (26) defines an abutment face (38) that can be positioned in abutment with the shoulder (20) of the doorjamb , whereas the body portion (28) defines an abutment face (40) which can be positioned in abutment with an inner edge (24) of the door . The doorstop thus acts between the door and the shoulder of the doorjamb to hold the door open . The doorstop includes a securing arrangement (32) comprising complementary strips of VELCRO material, for releasably securing the doorstop to the doorjamb .
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for preventing the locking of a door (12) which can be locked or latched by a bolt that can be unlocked using a key. In order to ensure that the door can only be locked when a user uses the key required for locking the door, the invention provides that, during an opening of the door, a blocking element (34) can be moved between the door and a frame (10) that receives the door thus preventing a locking.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a safety device, and in particular to a safety device for a sliding panel, such as a patio door. The safety device includes an abutment means (20), carrier means (21), for the abutment means (20), a mounting arm (22) for the carrier means (21), pivot means (25) for the mounting arm (22), suppport means (24) for the pivot means (25), resilient bias means (36) urging the mounting arm (22) towards an abutment condition, the resilient bias means (36) being connected between the mounting arm (22) and the support means (24), and manually operable means for moving the abutment means (20) against said resilient bias (36), the carrier means (21) being substantially parallel to the pivot means (25).

Abstract:
Abstract:
A safety device for use with a door panel hinged to another door element such as another door or to a door frame or jamb for relative swinging motion of the door panel. The device has a block sized and configured to insert into a triangular space formed between a door panel and another door element to which the door panel is hinged when the door panel is in a non-closed position, but to resist traverse through a through-gap between the door panel and the other door element to which it is hinged. A keeper is connected to the block, the keeper having a first portion thereof being sized to fit through the through-gap, and a second portion adapted to resist traverse through the through-gap when in normal operation of the door after installation of the safety device. A first portion of the keeper is resilient, thus permitting a distance between the second portion of the keeper and the block to be varied without disconnecting the block from the keeper while providing a bias force to urge the block into the triangular space when the door is in a non-closed position. The first portion of the keeper is sized to permit a distance between the block and the second portion , of the keeper to be sufficient to permit the block to be completely out of the triangular space while still being connected to the second portion of the keeper.

Abstract:
Inconspicuous door stoppers capable of being installed without using mounting screws which may give a damage to a door and a floor, the first door stopper used by holding on a door rail, comprising a clip having lever handles and lever handle holding direction changeover mechanisms installed in pairs opposite to a spring body, wherein the maximum holdable width of the clip is more than the thickness of a door, and the installation lengths of the lever handles are equal to such a length that can play a role as support bars by the engagement of the levers with a floor surface the second door stopper fixed to the side face of the door for use comprising stoppers having lever handles and lever handle holding direction changeover mechanisms installed on a plate member the third door stopper usable for entrance door wherein one lever handle holding direction changeover mechanism is eliminated from the pair of lever handle holding direction changeover mechanisms installed in pairs opposite to each other.
