Abstract:
An air cleaner system that potentially reduces debris entering a prime mover (e.g., engine) during removal/replacement of an air cleaner. In one embodiment, the engine includes a shroud defining an air cleaner compartment. The engine further includes a tubular air feed port defining a combustion air intake. The air feed port terminates at an end face located at or within the air cleaner compartment, and a lower portion of the end face is notched relative to other portions of the end face. In other embodiments, an engine oil drain system is provided that selectively positions a distal end of an oil drain tube at a drain position located away from the engine. The oil drain tube may also be repositioned to a stored position, wherein the distal end of the drain tube attaches to a nipple connected to either an engine housing or surrounding structure.
Abstract:
An air filter group for air supply to internal combustion engines of motor vehicles, of a type comprising an external casing provided with an inlet opening of the air to be filtered, and an outlet opening of the filtered air, and a removable cover, the inlet and outlet openings being separated by a removable filter cartridge which comprises a hollow cylindrical filter wall crossed by the air in a centripetal direction, in which the at least a filter cartridge is fixed to the cover in which cover a chamber is present, delimited by a base provided with at least a hole at which the at least a cartridge is fixed, by an opposite wall to the base and by an annular wall located between the base and the opposite wall and comprising the outlet hole of the filtered air, the cover being destined to be inserted sealedly in the casing.
Abstract:
A filtration system for a gas powered concrete saw allows the user to inspect and/or determine how much dust is accumulated in the filter. In addition, manual filter cleaners are provided to allow the user to easily clean the filter without needing to open up the tool. In addition, the system is provided to deactivate the tool or notify the user if no filter is being utilized, or the filter is damaged. The system can also provide system lock out in the case of a missing or damaged filter. In addition, automatic methods are also provided to allow cleaning of the filter.
Abstract:
An air intake arrangement for an air intake system for an engine includes a first pre-cleaner arrangement having a housing with an air flow inlet to receive air to be pre- cleaned. A pre-cleaner region is constructed and arranged to remove at least some particulate from the inlet air. The first pre-cleaner arrangement further includes a vacuum flow path and a drop tube flow path. The vacuum flow path is in air flow communication with a first vacuum source to selectively put a vacuum draw through the pre-cleaner region. The drop tube flow path is in air flow communication with a drop tube to eject particulate removed from the inlet air by the pre-cleaner region.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a filter housing (10) for a filter unit (50) with a substantially semicylindrical air filter (52), comprising an air inlet (20) and an engine air outlet (40). According to the invention the filter housing (10) has a top aperture (12) for introducing and taking out the filter unit (50), a bottom aperture (16) arranged to be closed and opened by a closed filter bottom (70) of the filter unit (50) being introduced or taken out, and a cover (30) to close the top aperture (12). The invention relates also to a filter unit for such a filter housing.
Abstract:
