Abstract:
A flexible fluid pipe can include a flexible tube having first and second ends. The flexible tube can be corrugated plastic tubing or other forms of flexible tubing. Each end of the flexible fluid pipe can include a connection assembly. The connection assembly can include an outer surface having a threaded section, a static nut for gripping the flexible fluid pipe and a nipple section or smooth outer surface positioned between the threaded section and the end of the pipe. Along the nipple section, a ridge can be positioned that increases the outer diameter of the connection assembly along a portion of the nipple section. The flexible fluid pipe can be connected to another pipe by inserting the nipple section into the inside of the second pipe and coupling a compression nut to the threaded section, compressing the second pipe onto the ridge without the need for a ferrule.
Abstract:
[Technical Problem] To remove a labor hour of attaching afterward the clamp to the corrugate tube, and to prevent the clamp from being displaced or loosening with respect to the corrugate tube. [Solution to Problem] A corrugate tube with a clamp 1, 1 2 integrally includes a straight tube portion 2, 5 and a bellows tube portion 3, 6, and a locking clamp 4 is integrally or individually provided on the straight tube portion. The straight tube portion which is provided with the clamp is thicker than the bellows tube portion. A slit 7 for inserting electric wires in a longitudinal direction of the tube is provided in an opposite direction of the clamp 4. A hole 8 for branching wires is provided communicating with the slit 7. A groove 42 or a hole 52 is provided on the straight tube portion 2 for fixing the individual clamp 43, 51. A radius d2 of a hill portion 10b of the bellows tube portion is sufficiently larger than a radius d of a valley portion 10a of the bellows tube portion, and a thickness T of the hill portion is gradually smaller as the bellows tube portion extends toward a tip. The bellows tube portions 3 are respectively arranged in between a plurality of straight tube portions 2, and the clamps 4 are provided on required straight tube portions.
Abstract:
Corrugated tubing (2) having a smooth or semi-smooth bore, and methods for fabricating such tubing are provided. A length of corrugation tubing (2) can be formed with a filler (4) or liner material inside the tubing. The filler material (4) or liner material may yield one or more improved properties such as reducing head (pressure) loss, reducing friction, sound damping, fire resistance, and corrosion resistance. The corrugated tubing with a smooth or semi- smooth bore can be included in a piping system in which a fitting is connected to the tubing.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a washer (1) wherein transmission of the washing tub (2) movements to the body without causing noise and vibration is provided by increasing both the durability and the flexibility of the hose (3).
Abstract:
A leak-free flexible conduit and method ofmaking the same is described. By attaching a flexible outer hose (14) to a flexible inner hose (12) without directly clamping the outer hose to the inner hose, the life of the inner hose is increased. Furthermore, the outer flexible hose creates a heat-resistant, airtight seal (22a) that prevents exhaust leaks from the inner flexible hose from escaping, substantially reduces the heat lost to the atmosphere, decreases the amount of vibration, reduces noise, and protects the inner flexible hose from corrosive elements and contaminants, thereby also extending the life of the inner flexible hose.
Abstract:
An elongated multi-layer tubing (10) for connection to a motor vehicle system to handle fluids containing hydrocarbons comprises a substantially smooth, non-convoluted inner layer (14, 14') disposed radially innermost and having an inner surface capable of prolonged exposure to a fluid containing hydrocarbons; and an outer layer (12, 12'), sufficiently convoluted to provide a desired degree of flexibility, the outer layer being substantially non-reactive with an external environment to which it is exposed, and able to substantially withstand shocks, vibrational fatigue, changes in temperature, and exposure to corrosive or degradative compounds. The tubing may also comprise an intermediate bonding and/or barrier layer (16, 16') disposed between the inner layer and the outer layer.
Abstract:
The specification relates to a hose combination with a first and at least one other hose which is secured along a common line of contact to the inside of the wall of the first hose. In order substantially to reduce the flow resistance which may be caused by the other hose in the first one, the first hose widens uniformly from one end to the other, i.e. from its intake to its discharge.
Abstract:
A braided sleeve (10) is comprised of a first material in monofilament form (11) characterised in that it has high modulus of elasticity and is capable of taking a resilient set. The first material is interbraided with a second material in filamentary form (12) which is chosen to impart a property to the sleeve according to its intended end use. The sleeve is further processed to introduce a series of resiliently set radially projecting according folds or pleats (14) which extend in a series lengthwise of the product and may be in groups with intervening spaces in which no corrugations are formed. The braid allows for radial expansion and contraction so that is resiliently conforms to the shape of an elongated substrate which may have irregularities in its cross section and further allows for appreciable axial elongation and expansion so as to protect a substrate having the property of axial extension and contraction.
