A sealing ring and a method of preventing or stopping a joint leak between a pipe and a pipe fitting to minimize property damage as well as clean up costs occurring from property damage due to joint leaks by securing a sealing ring to the pipe and the pipe fitting to form a secondary joint that inhibits or prevent leakage between the primary joint between the pipe and the pipe fitting.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein wasserführendes Haushaltsgerät, insbesondere Haushalts- Geschirrspülmaschine oder Waschmaschine, wenigstens eine Anschlussbuchse aufweisend, die mittels eines Verbindungsteils (1) mit einem Stutzen (2) verbunden ist, bei der das Verbindungsteil (1) wenigstens abschnittsweise aus elastischem Material gebildet ist und ein Einführende (10), an dem ein Stützring (5) angeordnet ist, aufweist. Erfindungsgemäss ist vorgesehen, dass das Verbindungsteil (1) an dem Einführende (10) einen Einführungsbereich (3) mit einer Einführrundung (7) aufweist, die tangential in einen Dichtbereich (4) übergeht.

A push-together pipe assembly is disclosed for joining two pipe ends. One pipe end has a specially contoured exterior surface. The other pipe end has a mating specially contoured interior surface. Each of the contoured surfaces is made up of a series of alternating helical spline wedges. The wedges are oppositely tapered from an inner extent to an outer extent thereof, whereby the helical spline wedges form an alternating series of lands and grooves as viewed from the respective mouth openings. The two opposing pipe ends mate and engage as one pipe end is pushed toward the other during assembly, causing a slight rotation of one pipe relative to the other.

Partiendo de un ajuste metal-metal sin juntas complementarias de materiales sintéticos, en le que uno de los módulos a unir (8) se remata en un sector tronco-cónico (3), al que se acopla machihembradamente el extremo cilíndrico del otro módulo (11), las mejoras de la invención consisten en prolongar dicho sector tronco-cónico (3) en un amplio tramo cilíndrico (9), dotado de uno ó mas resaltes anulares (10-10’) que determinan dos líneas anulares de tangencia y acoplamiento a presión sobre el módulo (11), en zonas esencialmente cilíndricas que tienden a mantener, además de la estanqueidad, la estabilidad axial entre módulos.

A pipe connection assembly and method for joining two lengths of steel pipe (12, 86) in the field without the need for welding the connection includes a pair of tubular members (22, 24) both having cylindrical exterior (26, 82) and interior (28, 84) surfaces that substantially conform to the exterior and interior surfaces of the two lengths of steel pipe (12, 86). At one end of the tubular member (22) a male connector (44) is formed. The male connector (44) has a plurality of annular flats (50, 62, 72) and tapered ridges (56, 66, 76) and flat annular surfaces (48, 58, 68) formed thereon. At one end of the other tubular member (24) a female connector (102) is formed. The female connector (102) has a plurality of flat annular ridges (136, 126, 116) and tapered (132, 122, 112) and flat surfaces (134, 124, 114) formed thereon. In employing the tubular members (22, 24) in connecting two lengths of steel pipe (12, 86), the ends of the members (22, 24) opposite the male (22) and female (44) connectors are first welded to opposed ends of the steel pipe (12, 86). The male connector (44) is then press-fit into the female connector (102).

A plumbing connector and method of connection including: a fitting having external threads on at least the first end; a tube having a first end inserted into the first end of the fitting; and an annular gasket, a compression ring, a lock ring, and a nut coaxial with and surrounding the outer diameter of the tube. The nut has internal threads adapted to engage the external threads of the fitting and is adapted to contain the gasket, the compression ring, and the lock ring upon threading of the nut onto the fitting. Upon threading and tightening of the nut onto the fitting, the gasket is compressed, an inner edge of the lock ring bitingly engages the outer diameter of the tube, and the gasket forms a seal with at least the first end of the fitting, the outer diameter of the tube, and an outer edge of the lock ring.

In order to be able to make length adjustments in a chimney pipe system as flexibly as possible, the chimney pipe (2) has two opposite connection ends (4, 6), which are connected to each other by means of a centre part (8), wherein the one connection end has a conical insertion region (4) and the other connection end (6) is cylindrical. The cylindrical design enables arbitrary trimming on site, without additional measures being required.
