A method includes transporting water containing chlorine dioxide, chlorine, chloramines, or hypochlorites through a pipe. The method includes forming a polyethylene resin using a catalyst, mixing the polyethylene resin with an antioxidant, wherein the antioxidant is a thioester, a hindered amine light stabilizer or 1, 3, 5-trimethyl-2,4,6-tris (3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzyl) benzene to form a resin/antioxidant mixture, extruding pipe from the resin/antioxidant mixture, and flowing water containing chlorine dioxide, chlorine, chloramines, or hypochlorites through the pipe. An extruded article is adapted for use in containment and/or transport of water that contains chlorine dioxide, chlorine, chloramines, or hypochlorites. The extruded article includes a polyethylene resin and an antioxidant. The antioxidant is a thioester, a hindered amine light stabilizer or 1, 3, 5-trimethyl-2,4,6-tris (3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzyl) benzene.

Heterophasic polypropylene composition comprising a propylene homo- or random copolymer matrix phase (A), and an ethylene-propylene copolymer rubber phase (B) dispersed within the matrix phase, the heterophasic polypropylene composition including a fraction soluble in pxylene at 25°C (XCS fraction) which is present in the resin in an amount of 4 to 14 wt.-%, and a fraction insoluble in p-xylene at 25 °C (XCU fraction) which is present in the resin in an amount of 86 to 96 wt.-%, wherein the heterophasic polypropylene composition has an MFR2, determined according to ISO 1133 at 230 °C and under a load of 2.16 kg, of 4.0 to 8.0 g/10 min; and wherein the heterophasic polypropylene composition has a flexural modulus higher than 1500 MPa measured on an injection moulded specimen with the dimension 80x10x4 mm3 according to ISO 178; and wherein the heterophasic polypropylene composition has a content of monomer units derived from ethylene of 2.0 to 7.0 wt.-%.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine extrusionsblasgeformte Tube, welche über ihr hinteres Ende befüllt oder befüllbar ist, und deren Körper, Schulter und Hals in einem. Stück durch Extrusionsblasformen hergestellt sind. Die Tube weist eine LLDPE-reiche Schicht mit einem LLDPE Anteil von 50 bis 95 Gewichts-Prozent auf, und die durchschnittliche Wandstärke der Tube im Bereich des Körpers beträgt 0.3 bis 0.85 Millimeter.

A pipe- or tube-shaped article having an innermost layer is disclosed which comprises a polyolefin composition comprising a polyolefin comprising ethylene and an α -olefin. The article provides long lifetime, highly abrasion-resistant pipes for mining and other transportation uses. Also disclosed are methods for preparing the article.
