콜레스테롤 데이터 측정 스트립 및 이를 이용한 콜레스테롤 측정 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 일 양상에 따른 측정 스트립은 주입된 혈액으로부터 적혈구를 응집하고 이와 동시에 저밀도지단백(LDL) 콜레스테롤의 침전을 수행하여 적혈구 분리 및 저밀도지단백(LDL) 콜레스테롤 분리를 동시에 수행하는 적혈구 및 저밀도지단백(LDL) 콜레스테롤 여과층과, 콜레스테롤 데이터를 얻기 위해 상기 적혈구 및 저밀도지단백(LDL) 콜레스테롤이 분리된 혈액과 반응을 수행하는 반응층을 포함한다. 이로써, 단일 층에서 적혈구 분리 및 저밀도지단백(LDL) 콜레스테롤 분리를 동시에 수행함으로써, 스트립의 두께를 줄임과 동시에 측정에 필요한 혈액의 양을 줄이는 효과를 얻을 수 있다.

Un pañal desechable que incluye una pluralidad de reactivos indicadores sensibles a orina para detectar niveles de: glucosa, cuerpos cetónicos, metales pesados como el plomo, nitritos y gravedad específica, fijados a la cubierta interna absorbente del pañal; y una pluralidad de reactivos indicadores sensibles a excremento, para detectar: grasa, proteínas y efectuar prueba Clinitest y pruebas virales, y el cual sirve como control para monitorear la orina y heces del paciente en busca de sustancias que no se encuentra en situaciones comunes en la orina y heces por medio de dichos indicadores, mediante los cuales el valuador comparara las coloraciones que dan los diferentes reactivos de los indicadores del pañal y valoraría si existe una sustancia anormalmente presente.

An integral multilayer analytical element for assaying sulfate-conjugated bile acid, which comprises a support, a reagent layer formed thereon, and a porous development layer further formed thereon, wherein at least one of the reagent and development layers contains a sulfate-conjugated bile acid desulfatase, a 3 beta -hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase, thio-NAD and a reduced NAD or a reduced NADP, and wherein the reagent layer further contains a water-soluble polymer, a sugar alcohol or/and Mn , and a buffer. This element can control the rise of the blank value and prevent enzyme aggregation in the preparation of a solution for forming the reagent layer.

The present invention is concerned with means and methods for maintaining and preserving enzymatic activity. In particular, the invention relates to a dry composition comprising a dehydrogenase, a redox cofactor, an agent capable of eliciting at least one measurable change in a property of an indicator reagent in the presence of redox equivalents, an indicator reagent, and at least one pyridine-carboxylic acid or a derivative or salt thereof. The invention further contemplates a diagnostic test element for the determination of an analyte from a body fluid sample and a method for the manufacture of such a test element. Further envisaged by the present invention is the use of a pyridine-carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof for reducing a decrease of the enzymatic activity of at least one enzyme in a composition under dry and/or under humid conditions. Furthermore, contemplated is a method for determining the presence or amount analyte in a body fluid sample based on the test element according to the invention.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Testelement zur Analyse einer Körperflüssigkeit auf einen darin enthaltenen Analyten, mittels eines Reagenzsystems, dessen Reaktion mit dem Analyten zu einer Änderung einer an dem Testelement optisch messbaren für das gewünschte analytische Ergebnis charakteristischen Messgröße führt. Das Testelement hat ein Testfeld, welches mindestens einen Teil der Reagenzien des Reagenzsystems enthält, und eine Spreitschicht, die derartig parallel zu dem Testfeld verläuft, dass eine Flüssigkeitsaustrittsseite der Spreitschicht in Fluidkontakt zu einer Flüssigkeitseintrittsseite des Testfelds steht und durch die eine in die Spreitschicht eindringende Flüssigkeit so auf deren Flüssigkeitsaustrittsseite verteilt wird, dass sie gleichmäßig in die benachbarte Flüssigkeitseintrittsseite des Testfeldes eindringt, wobei die Spreitschicht eine flächige Matrixstruktur mit einer Mehrzahl von Zellen hat, die je einen Zellhohlraum aufweisen und die ZeIIhohlräume der Zellen durch Flüssigkeitspassagen in Fluidverbindung miteinander stehen, die Zellen in einer Ebene angeordnet sind und die Spreitschicht aus einer Folie mittels eines Schichtprofilierungsverfahrens hergestellt ist.

A sensor for an analyte which affects an enzyme-catalysed reaction is described, in which the sensor comprises a first layer of a hydrogel containing the enzyme and a second layer comprising a polymer matrix in which a hologram is written and is sensitive to a product of the reaction. Such a sensor can be used, for example, in a method for determining activity of the enzyme, by contacting a sample containing a substrate of the enzyme with the sensor, and observing any change in the hologram.
