Abstract:
A colour photographic material is described containing a compound of formula (I) wherein, if n=1, R1 is, inter alia, a radical of formula (II), and, if n=2, R1 is unsubstituted or C1-C4alkyl- or hydroxy-substituted phenylene or naphthylene; or -R12-X-R13-, and other residues are as defined in claim 1. The compound of formula (I) is effective as scavenger of the oxidised form of the developer (Dox scavenger), especially when contained in an interlayer between light sensitive layers. Selected compounds of this class can also be used as additives, for example as dye stabilizer, in colour photographic materials, or as an antioxidant for organic materials.
Abstract:
A colour photographic material comprising a support carrying at least one photographic silver halide emulsion layer having associated therewith a 5-, 7- or 8-chromanol image dye stabiliser.
Abstract:
A photosensitive material for a silver halide color photograph having a support and, formed thereon, at least one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, at least one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, wherein at least one layer of said silver halide emulsion layers comprises a silver halide emulsion containing silver chloride in an amount of 90 mole % or more, and also said silver halide emulsion comprises at least one selenium compound.
Abstract:
The invention describes novel compounds of the formula (I) wherein the general symbols are as defined in claim (1) and R1 is an aromatic radical with electron withdrawing substituents, as stabilizers for protecting organic materials, in particular polymers and lubricants, against oxidative, thermal or light-induced degradation and as scavengers for oxidized developer in color photographic material.
