Abstract:
A lubricant composition includes a base oil present in an amount of greater than 70 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the lubricant composition and an antioxidant. The antioxidant has the structure: wherein each X is independently C-A or N, so long as at least one X is N but no more than two of X are N. Moreover, A is H, cyano or an electron donating group that: (1) has an atom having at least one lone pair of electrons that is bonded directly to the aromatic ring; or (2) is an aryl group or alkyl group. Further, each R is independently H, an alkyl group, or aryl group and each R' is independently an alkyl group or an aryl group.
Abstract:

Abstract:
Use of a lubricating composition comprising (i) base oil and (ii) hindered amine light stabilizer for providing improved piston cleanliness. Preferably, the hindered amine light stabiliser is a 2, 2, 6, 6-tetraalkyl piperidine derivative which contains at least one moiety of formula (I) : wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , and R 4 are independently selected from C 1 -C 8 alkyl or R 1 and R 2 or R 3 and R 4 together are pentamethylene, and wherein R 5 is independently selected from hydrogen and C 1 -C 8 alkyl.
Abstract:
The invention provides a composition comprising at least the following: an oil, and at least one compound selected from Compounds 1 through 3, or a combination thereof, as described herein. The composition can be used to improve the high pressure, free-radical polymerizations of ethylene-based interpolymers, and to reduce polymer build-up in reciprocation devices throughout the process.
Abstract:
An alkylated 1,3-benzenediamine compound used as a deposit-control lubricant additives for organic materials including lubricating oil, gasoline, and diesel fuels. The invention improves the oxidative stability of the lubricants and fuels by adding the alkylated 1,3- benzenediamine compound. The alkylated 1,3-benzenediamine compound is formed using a catalytic hydrogenation that alkylates the 4 and/or 6 position of the central aromatic ring.
Abstract:
The invention relates to improved compositions based on lubricants and comprising succinic acid semi-amides and to the use of those lubricant compositions in improving the use properties of lubricants, such as hydraulic or metal-working fluids, greases, gear oils or engine oils.
