The present invention relates to a watch. In particular, the present invention relates to an analogue watch which can show the time around the world, and/or show the phases of the moon. The watch comprises a time display means having at least one hand for pointing to time indicia (11) to indicate the time, a first area (113) of marking indicating time indicia corresponding to night, a second area (112) of marking indicating time indicia corresponding to day, and varying means (17, 18) for varying the first and/or second areas of marking such that the correspondence of time indicia to night and day can be varied.

Disclosed therein is a universal timepiece, which can display time by rotation of a time plate, the universal timepiece includes: the fixed time plate displaying a world map, which places the South Pole or the North Pole at the center thereof and describes the Southern or Northern Hemisphere on which the date line and day-and-night are represented; an hour plate having a time scale divided at uniform angles on the center thereof for indicating time, the hour plate turning around once a day in the opposite direction to the revolution of the earth; and a time indicator for indicating local time of a specific region. The universal timepiece enables a user to easily recognize the local time and day-and-night of various regions in the world at once.

Mechanische Weltzeituhr mit einem Uebertragungsmechanismus, welcher es ermöglicht, mit einem Drehring mit 24 Zeitzonen direkt die Zeitanzeige zu verstellen wie zum Beispiel einen 12-Stundenzeiger und/oder einen 24-Stundenzeiger. Die Uhr dient zum handlichen Verstellen der Zeitzone bzw. zum Ablesen der Zeit in einer anderen Zeitzone. Die Bedienung könnte nicht einfacher sein. Nach dem Oeffnen eines Hebels kuppelt sich der Mechanismus in Fig. 1 automatisch ein. Der mit dem Drehring fixierte Zahnkranz (6) treibt ein vertikales Antriebsrad (5) an, welches mit einem Kupplungsrad (4) über eine Welle verbunden ist. Wenn der Trieb (4) eingekuppelt ist, treibt er eine oder zwei Minuterien an (8, 9), welche ein 12-Stundenrad (10) und ein 24-Stundenrad (11) im 1h-Rhythmus bewegen. Der Drehring wird somit einfach auf die gewünschte Destination bei 12h gedreht und man kann sofort die lokale Zeit ablesen. Entweder wird der Drehring nun wieder auf seinen Ausgangsort gedreht oder der Hebel wird einfach verschlossen. Im zweiten Fall läuft die Zeit nun weiter gemäss der eingestellten Destination. Der Drücker (2) kuppelt über eine Wippe (3) den Mechanismus aus, fixiert im geschlossenen Zustand gleichzeitig den Zahnkranz (6) und verhindert ein unabsichtliches Verstellen der Zeit. Der Uebertragungsmechanismus kann auch für das Einstellen oder Aendern von anderen Zeitanzeigen verwendet werden wie Datum, Wochentag, Monat, Jahr, Minuten oder für andere Funktionen wie ein Wecker verwendet werden.

The present invention relates to a universal timepiece including a circular base plate in which 24 division indexes are displayed with the same angle, an hour hand, and a region plate where names of regions in the world or symbols of the names and a date boundary line are displayed in a circumference of the timepiece. The base plate is divided into upper and lower half parts by a color or line. A noon symbol is displayed on a top of the upper half part, and an afternoon symbol and the International Date Line are displayed on the base of the lower half part. The region plate is formed at inside or outside of the base plate with a concentric circle. The universal timepiece enables a user to directly grasp the present time of chief cities and regions, an altitude of the sun, and change or no of the date.

A digital rotational timepiece, it uses three rotational discs in place of the hour hand, minute hand and second hand of a conventional timepiece. The hour disc is divided into 12 sections with corresponding numerals arranged in counterclockwise, and the minute disc and second disc is divided into 60 sections with corresponding numerals arranged in counterclockwise. Each indicator is provided at the numeral beginning position of the three discs, and rotated with each disc. The outer dial is divided into 12 sections with fixed marks representing the world time zones. The present invention is easy to recognize local time and maintains the function of indicator. It can also display the times of 24 time zones in the world. It has simple structure, multi form designs and beauty.
