A numerical controller is provided with a machine-side position detection control unit (20) so as to read the position feedback signal of a position detector (64) for a control axis (X-axis) the position of which is required to be detected on the machine side for closed-loop control. Therefore, position detection control units for the servo amplifier sections (30, 40, and 50) on the axes is unnecessary. A numerical control section (10) is connected to the servo amplifier sections (30, 40, and 50) through a serial communication line in the form of a daisy chain.

The invention describes a closed-loop and /or open-loop control device (13 to 16) for building mangement systems. The computer unit, in particular a microprocessor, is connected with one or more additional modules (12) by way of a local bus (11). The closed-loop and/or open-loop control device (13 to 16) has several interfaces (22, 23) for a network bus (8), in particular a ring network (9). The closed-loop and/or open-loop control device (13 to 16) is connected to a server (3) and/or one or more additional closed-loop and/or open-loop control device (13 to 16) by way of the interfaces (22, 23). The closed-loop and/or open-loop control (13 to 16) includes a communications module or program for each additional module (12). The communications module is designed to control the interfaces (22, 23) of the network bus (8) and the local bus (11), and to process the input and/or output signals of the additional modules (12) in the computer unit, and/or to transmit these signals to another closed-loop and/or open-loop control device (12 to 16) or the server (3).

A drive control system having constituent apparatuses, such as a control unit for drive control, a servo amplifier for driving a motor on receiving an instruction from the control unit, a main shaft amplifier and an input/output unit, with these apparatuses being connected for communicating with each other, wherein each constituent apparatus is provided with memory and a communication means for maintaining synchronization between apparatuses and permitting data transfer between arbitrary constituent apparatuses to thereby share memories between arbitrary constituent apparatuses.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a control and/or regulating system for a machine used for producing a fiber web, in particular a paper and/or cardboard web. This system comprises several actuators (A1-A6), each associated to at least one final control element, for affecting certain properties of the fiber web that is to be produced. The actuators (A1-A6) are intelligent components of a decentralized communication/hardware structure (10), in which they are coupled together via a closed pipeline ring (12) and/or a local LAN network.
