Abstract:
A method for identifying medical diverters includes identifying users having similar job functions. Use data indicative of user access to a medication dispensing system is retrieved and is analyzed to identify periods of use of the system for users. Boundaries of work shifts are determined and users are organized into work shifts based on periods of use. A comparison period is determined. Diversion data indicative of behavior associated with diversion for each user is identified. A diversion score indicative of a likelihood that a user is diverting medication is generated by averaging the data by shifts worked for each user and statistically comparing the averaged data. Diversion scores are combined for a medication type to generate a group score. A consistency factor is determined and an overall score is generated. A determination whether any overall scores exceed an overall threshold is made. Users whose score exceeds the threshold are flagged.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for capturing and managing healthcare information are presented. In one or more embodiments, a server computing device may establish a first network connection to a first bedside computing device. Subsequently, the server computing device may select a first device profile for the first bedside computing device. The server computing device then may provide the first device profile to the first bedside computing device. Thereafter, the server computing device may establish a second network connection to a second bedside computing device different from the first bedside computing device. Subsequently, the server computing device may select a second device profile for the second bedside computing device. The server computing device then may provide the second device profile to the second bedside computing device. In one or more additional embodiments, a bedside computing device may capture sensor data received from one or more sensors connected to the bedside computing device. Subsequently, the bedside computing device may process the sensor data to determine patient vital signs information. The bedside computing device then may provide the patient vital signs information to a server computing device that is configured to receive vital signs information from one or more additional bedside computing devices. In one or more additional embodiments, a server computing device may receive input defining a first device profile for a first set of one or more bedside computing devices. Subsequently, the server computing device may establish a network connection to at least one bedside computing device included in the first set of one or more bedside computing devices. The server computing device then may provide the first device profile to the at least one bedside computing device.
Abstract:
A scheduling system and method are provided. The system and method provide a mechanism for a customer to schedule appointments directly with healthcare providers which is not presently possible since each healthcare provider may use a different practice management system that has different formats and protocols.
Abstract:
An apparatus that includes an input portal for receiving data including pointers for identifying health care providers and performance data correlated to the pointers. A first analyzer analyzes the performance data to identify categories of related performance data. A compiler compiles the data into compiled data that includes a plurality of the pointers and categories of data associated with the pointers. A second analyzer analyzes the categories of data and scores the data within each category to produce an outcome score for each category of data, where each outcome score is associated with a pointer. An access portal provides access to the data to health care providers, and provides health care provider-selectable display criteria to the health care providers using the access portal, and records a display criteria selected by each health care provider. A selection portal provides access to the data to users, and presents choice criteria to users using the selection portal, and receives and stores the choice criteria from users. The choice criteria includes at least a subset of the health care provider information. An information manager displays information to a user based upon the compiled data including the categories of data and the pointers, the outcome scores, the pointers, the display criteria and the choice criteria.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to medical documentation in a mobile environment, more specifically dictation on a mobile device in a clinical or hospital environment. The present invention provides a method for creating medical documentation in a hospital information system using a mobile device. In this invention, a target form is created in this HIS as a result of an adapted process for communication an optimized form definition (resulting GUI application layout definition) to a mobile device, which is then used to collect and record the necessary data for the target form, by means of an intermediary data structure called the dummy form. The dummy form is a limited version of the target form (containing a subset of the data of the target form), but behaves in the system as a target form. Part of the data in this invention is captured as digitally recorded multimedia content, which may transcribed lateron as text in the target form.
Abstract:
A method and related system for supporting task scheduling. Completion times of tasks of a process are predicted based on historical data held in a database (HIS). Based on the predictions, a workload measure for a resource associated with performing the task is computed. Also, there is established whether the predicted completion times will result in overshooting predefined due-dates as held in a rules database (DB-REG). The work load measure and/or the overshoot is indicted as graphical indicators in a graphical user interface (GUI). The workload measure and/or the overshoot indicators are computed and displayed in real-time.
Abstract:
There is provided an online portal specifically for allocating personnel. The portal includes a criteria matching module hosted on at least one computing device, the criteria matching module being configured for matching at least one personnel to a user's preference; a reservation module hosted on the at least one computing device, the reservation module being configured for the user to reserve at least one personnel provided for selection by the criteria matching module; and a payment module hosted on the at least one computing device, the payment module being configured for retrieving data from both the criteria matching module and the reservation module to determine a cost payable by the user.
Abstract:
There is provided a method of operating a data processing system (1) for resource scheduling. For large scale scheduling tasks the data processing system is operated according to a first method of operation comprising the steps of: - calculating an initial solution space comprising at least one valid scheduling solution; - displaying said at least one valid scheduling solution.
