A method of detecting Moire artefacts in a digital image comprises calculating at least one parameter relating to at least one feature of the digital image. The at least one parameter is compared to at least one corresponding threshold, wherein the at least one threshold is determined by a machine learning process, based on a set of example images and reference parameters for the set of example images. It is determined whether the digital image contains Moire artefacts based on the results of the comparing.

Для связи с компьютером используется беспроводной интерфейс. The present disclosure relates to systems and procedures to permit user-generated content, such as underlining, highlighting, and comments, to be shared to printed media via an augmented reality (AR) system, such as a head mounted display, tablet, mobile phone, or projector, without the need to have an electronic text-version of the printed media. In an exemplary method, an augmented reality user device obtains an image of a printed page of text, and image recognition techniques are used to identify the page. An annotation associated with the identified page is retrieved, and the augmented reality device displays the annotation as an overlay on the identified page.

Computer-based techniques for grouping documents are described herein. Documents may be grouped, organized, named, and/or indexed by their document character features. Document character features may comprise character counts, character difference counts, missing character counts, and any combination thereof. The comparison of documents may use a comparison threshold value for grouping documents. Documents may be processed in any language.

An apparatus and method are provided for identifying and audibly presenting textual information within captured image data. In one implementation, a method is provided for audibly presenting text retrieved from a captured image. According to the method, at least one image of text is received from an image sensor, and the text may include a first portion and a second portion. The method includes identifying contextual information associated with the text, and accessing at least one rule associating the contextual information with at least one portion of text to be excluded from an audible presentation associated with the text. The method further includes performing an analysis on the at least one image to identify the first portion and the second portion, and causing the audible presentation of the first portion.

According to one embodiment, a document classification assisting apparatus includes an input unit, an extracting unit, an amount calculator, a setting unit, a calculator, and a storage. The input unit inputs documents including stroke information. The extracting unit extracts, from the stroke information, at least one of figure, annotation and text information. The amount calculator calculates, from the information extracted, feature amounts that enable comparison in similarity between the documents. The setting unit sets clusters including representative vectors that indicate features of the clusters and each include the feature amounts, and detects to which one of the clusters each of the documents belongs. The calculator calculates, as a classification rule, at least one of the feature amounts included in the representative vectors and characterizing the representative vectors. The storage stores the classification rule.

An arrangement for, and a method of, electro-optically reading forms, each form having a plurality of form fields arranged at locations relative to one another, by image capture, includes storing form templates, each template having a plurality of template fields arranged at locations relative to one another, and capturing images over a field of view. A form and a correct orientation of the form, whose image is being captured, are automatically identified by matching the locations of the form fields in the captured image of the form with the locations of the stored template fields. The form fields on the identified form in the correct orientation are thereupon processed.

One embodiment of the present invention is directed to a project search system, implemented on one or more computer systems, comprising two or more stored projects represented by electronically stored, computer-accessible data that are stored in a project-database component; a project-comparator subsystem, executed on the one or more computer systems, that generates a similarity metric for two electronically-represented projects input to the project-comparator subsystem; and a project search engine, executed on the one or more computer systems, that receives data that represents an input project, identifies, by pairwise comparison of the stored projects with the input project using the project-comparator subsystem, one or more stored projects with greatest similarity to the input project, and outputs, to a graphical interface displayed on a computer display or to an application program, indications of the one or more stored projects with greatest similarity to the input project.
