Abstract:
To reduce vibration in the rotation direction acting on the hard disk drive with a part of the hard disk drive as the rotation center. The disk unit comprises a hard disk drive comprising a drive mechanism which rotates and drives a plurality of disk media, an arm rotatably supported on a pivot and placed as movable in the rotation area of the disk media, and an actuator which performs positioning control of the magnetic head fixed to the arm to a target position on the disk media, a frame supporting the hard disk drive, and a dynamic absorber placed in the hard disk drive or in the frame, wherein the dynamic absorber absorbs vibration in the rotation direction acting on the hard disk drive with a part of the hard disk drive as the rotation center.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a HDD base comprising: at least two anchor formations for anchoring at least two parts of a HDD; and a rigid member configured to retain anchor formations in a fixed position relative to each other.
Abstract:
An apparatus for vibration reduction in a hard disk drive, the hard disk drive comprising at least one hard disk and at least one actuator arm. The apparatus comprises a flow mitigating device disposed on the at least one actuator arm, the flow mitigating device comprising at least one surface being inclined with respect to a reference plane of the actuator arm to generate streamwise vortices for interacting with and weakening vortex structures generated at a trailing edge of the actuator arm during spinning of the hard disk.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to test carriers (10) for smaller electronic storage devices of less than 3.5 inches for testing small form factor (SFF) storage devices in a 3.5 inch hard disk drive tester.
Abstract:
A magnetic disk drive for damping vibration and noise, includes a base (70) and a cover (10) to buckle the base (70).There are cambered protrusions (161) and cambered grooves (181) on the said cover (10) at intervals. Said cambered protrusions 161 and cambered grooves (181) are concentric circular arc or elliptical arc, and distribute continuously along the radial, said cambered protrusions (161) and cambered grooves (181) are formed to wavelike form, so as to increase the structural strength of the cover (10), avoid resonance of the cover caused by the vibration of the motor (72), and lower the noise generated by the magnetic disk drive while working.
