La invención consiste en la combinación de la implantación de un sistema conmutado en un motor eléctrico trifásico de imanes permanentes a partir del cual poder conectar selectivamente su bobinado en estrella o en triángulo, en orden a ampliar el rango de regímenes en los que su rendimiento sea óptimo, combinado con una desmultiplicación adicional para el motor que experimentalmente se ha comprobado que es necesaria para que el mismo no se dañe en dichos cambios de configuración para el motor.

The invention relates to a mining vehicle and to a method for energy supply of a mining vehicle. The mining vehicle comprises at least one mining work device, at least one three phase AC electric motor for powering the at least mining work device, a three phase connecting device connectable to a supply cable for supplying electric current to the mining vehicle from a supply grid and a current reducer unit for compensating for reactive power. The electric motor is connectable to delta connection and to star connection. The current reducer unit comprises at least three single phase capacitor units that are connectable to delta connection while the motor is connected to delta connection and connectable to star connection while the motor is connected to star connection.

Control systems and methods for starting an induction motor. The control system includes a plurality of wye switches, a plurality of delta switches, an AC power supply, and a soft-starter. The plurality of wye switches are connected between three phase stator windings of the induction motor such that closure of the plurality of wye switches causes the three phase stator windings to be connected in a wye connection. The plurality of delta switches are connected between the three phase stator windings such that closure of the plurality of delta switches causes the three phase stator windings to be connected in a delta configuration. The soft-starter is connected between three phase supply lines of the AC power supply and the three phase stator windings to control a supply of energy to the induction motor from the AC power supply.

This invention relates to a motor output change-over control unit used for a main shaft operating motor of a machine tool. A conventional unit of this kind produces a wide range constant motor output by gears, and a main shaft operating motor having a single winding is employed. Therefore, the heat buildup of the winding is increased and a transmission mechanism consisting of gears inevitably becomes large-scale. The motor output change-over control unit according to the present invention has output characteristics of an AC motor stabilized over a wide range from a high speed to a low speed by switching over the connection of the power line in the motor.

Methods and control apparatus for operating a three-phase electric motor are described, in which the motor windings are switched between Star and Delta connections depending on torque requirements, and in which the motor windings are switched to a braking mode when braking torque is required. The electromagnetic torque of the motor is monitored, and a command to switch from Star to Delta is given when the electromagnetic torque rises to reach or exceed a threshold. A command to switch from Delta to Star is given when the electromagnetic torque falls to reach a second threshold. The invention discloses a method of determining instantaneous values for the electromagnetic torque of the motor based on measurements of phase current and phase voltage at particular instants in the voltage cycle. The application further discloses a method of timing the switching operation between Star and Delta configurations, or switching from Star or Delta configuration to a dynamic braking mode, to minimise inrush currents by monitoring the vector relationship between the EMF and the supply voltage and performing switching operations in each motor phase when EMF vector is aligned with the supply voltage vector. The application further discloses switching from Star to Delta or Delta to Star when the torque produced by the motor is substantially equal to the torque requirement of the load to maximise efficiency.

A multi-speed electric motor may include a plurality of windings arranged into winding phase groups. A speed controller may switch two or more windings between a series and a parallel configuration in each winding phase group. The speed controller may also switch the winding phase groups between a delta and a Wye configuration. By selecting a specific configuration, one or more of the holding torque, torque ratio, no-load maximum speed, and volts/Hz ratio of the AC motor may be optimized for a given application. In some embodiments, the AC motor may be used as part of a piece of drilling rig equipment such as a drawworks, winch, mud pump, top drive, or rotary table.

The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for decreasing the energy consumption and for protecting of a variable loaded asynchronous motor, which comprises a sensor stage sensing at least one electric parameter of the asynchronous motor, furthermore a processing and adjusting unit connecting to the output of the sensor stage, further a star-delta switch-over stage being in control connection with the output of the processing and adjusting unit, and a power supply for powering said electronic stages and units. The present invention relates to an improved star delta starter for starting a three phase star delta motor comprises improved power contactors configured to have a pair of three pole delta and main contactors, and a single pole star contactor for supplying AC power to star position and delta position, a timer control with a logic circuit for controlling AC power supply switching operation for star position and delta position and for adjusting a time delay of switching over from star connection to delta connection, an overload relay for protecting motor from overload, and start and stop push buttons to perform starting and stopping operation of star delta starter.

모터 스타터 시스템 및 이의 동작방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 실시예에 의하면, 외부 센서로부터 출력되는 아날로그 센서값을 이용하여 전자접촉기의 온(on)/오프(off) 상태로 자동 제어할 수 있으므로, 과전류시에 모터 보호 기능의 신뢰성이 보다 향상된다. 또한, 연결된 상위 감시 장치에서 외부 센서값을 수신할 수 있고, 모터 스타터 상태의 실시간 감시가 가능하며, 직접 전자접촉기의 온/오프 상태를 제어하기 위한 제어명령을 전송할 수 있으므로 조작성이 우수하고 종합적인 수명예측 및 모터의 부하관리가 가능하다. 나아가, PLC의 I/O을 이용하여 전자접촉기를 제어하는 경우보다 배선작업 및 그에 따른 비용이 감소되며, 공간 활용을 더욱 극대화할 수 있다.
