Abstract:
Various implementations process a television content stream to detect program boundaries such as the starting point and ending point of the program. In at least some implementations, program boundaries such as intermediate points between the starting point and ending point of the program are also detected. The intermediate points correspond to where a program pauses for secondary content such as an advertisement or advertisements, and then resumes once the secondary content has run. Once program boundaries are detected, primary content is isolated by removing secondary content that occurs before the starting point and after the ending point. In at least some implementations, secondary content that occurs between detected intermediate points is also removed. The primary content is then recorded without secondary content that originally comprised part of the original television content stream.
Abstract:
Methods, devices and systems are provided for provisioning an output device for use with a media device to produce synchronized audio and video portions of media content. An exemplary method involves a media device identifying a device type associated with the output device, obtaining synchronization settings for the device type from a server via a network, and presenting audiovisual content in accordance with the synchronization settings obtained from the server.

A method and an apparatus for converting content by a terminal in a multimedia system are provided. The method includes acquiring reference information for converting a first content based on a Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG) transport stream to a second content based on a media file format and converting the first content to the second content using the reference information.

An all-in-one consumer electronics media device (AIO-CE-MD) may include a single IR/RF/Microphone handheld remote control for controlling and/or displaying information for all CE devices of a user(s) in concert with the AIO-CE-MD operative for playback of one or more media formats (e.g., optical discs, audio, video, images, music, files, streaming media content, stored media content, and other content). The remote may be docked in the AIO-CE-MD and may have its power source recharged while docked. The remote may communicate with other CE devices and/or CE Legacy devices using bi-directional RF and/or uni-directional IR signals. The AIO-CE-MD may wirelessly communicate RF signals to speaker(s) coupled with dedicated internal/external amplifiers, and may wirelessly communicate with microphone(s) and/or speaker(s) and apply algorithms for optimizing audio quality.

El procedimiento para la emisión de aromas/olores consiste en reproducir, en un software,un producto audiovisual con al menos una escena de emisión de olor codificada, dicho software,para cada escena de emisión de olor que identifica y descodifica en el producto audiovisual,envía una señal de liberación de olor codificada a través de unos medios emisores de comunicación inalámbrica, dicha señal es recibida por un dispositivo emisor de aromas/olores a través de unos medios receptores de comunicación inalámbrica.
