Abstract:
There is provided an imaging device that includes a pixel generation unit that generates an image signal formed from a plurality of pixel signals according to incident light, and a frame memory that stores the image signal of a plurality of frames.
Abstract:
An image capturing apparatus includes an interval shooting section (51) that performs an interval shooting process, a lighten compositing section (54) that performs a lighten compositing process using images captured one by one by the interval shooting process, and a composite-image-in-progress displaying section (55) that, when a first operation is performed, causes a composite image in a first memory area, which is used as a compositing buffer for the lighten compositing process, to be displayed on an LCD monitor without causing the interval shooting process to be stopped.
Abstract:
A method of forming a combined image based on a plurality of image frames includes obtaining a sequence (22, -33) of arrays of intensity values for representing respective ones of a sequence of image frames depicting substantially the same scene. The combined image is represented by a final array (27, -28) of intensity values. At least some of the intensity values in the final array (27, -28) are each obtained by summing an intensity value from each of a sequence of arrays of intensity values based on respective ones of the arrays in the obtained sequence (22, -33) . If, for any of at least one region in the final array (27;28), any of a sequence of sets of at least one intensity value, wherein each set represents the region and forms part of one of a selected plurality of the obtained arrays of intensity values, contains intensity values deviating by more than a certain measure from those in the other sets of the sequence, the intensity values representing that region in the final array (27; 28) are each derived from (A) a respective intensity value from each of one or more arrays based on respective ones of only those of the selected plurality of arrays containing a set with deviating intensity values, or (B) a respective intensity value from each of one or more arrays based on respective ones of only those of the selected plurality of arrays containing one of the other sets of intensity values.
Abstract:
An audio/video production system (16) is implemented on a PC-based platform, preferably utilizing various forms of removable magnetic, optical, or magneto-optical storage media (70). Specially modified cameras or other sources provide digitally data-compressed audio and video programm materials in two formats, a first format having a higher data-compression ratio and intended for use in off-line systems to develop edit decision lists, and a second format having a lower data-compression ratio and intended for use in on-line editing and to produce the final representations of the programs. Off-line editing decisions may thus be developed on a PC (102) using removable storage media (104), and final representations of the programs may be produced on-line in accordance with stationary-head or rotary-head digital-tape-based formats, such as DAT, 6-mm or 8-mm tapes. In an alternative embodiment, automatic and unattended editing, or extended program playback of more than 40 hours duration of digital video, is available.
Abstract:
Techniques are described in which a video decoding mode is used to determine which regions of a picture need to be composed. If a region of a current picture is decoded in skip mode with the reference picture of the skip mode being a previous picture that is displayed immediately prior to the current picture, then pixel values for that region may not need to be retrieved from system memory.
Abstract:
Source devices are adapted to facilitate video data streaming to a sink device. According to one example, a source device can capture a plurality of frames of video data, each frame including a set of graphical command tokens. Responsive to a delay between the source device and a sink device, the source device can select one or more frames of the plurality of frames to be dropped. The source device may transmit the plurality of frames of video data to a sink device, without transmitting the one or more frames selected to be dropped. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also included.
