Abstract:
Embodiments concern managing traffic in a radio device. While classifying user-plane packets from multiple applications according to quality of service requirements, a specific user-plane packet is classified as/determined to be a predetermined special-type packet (e.g., the special-type packets establish a new TCP/IP connection for a newly activated application). Based on that, that specific user-plane packet is mapped to a pre-defined radio bearer associated with a preconfigured priority, for example a highest priority among all bearers to which any of these user-plane packets from the multiple applications are mapped. Then all the mapped user-plane packets are scheduled for transmission according to their respective priorities. For example, the specific user-plane packet could be a SDU having a SYN, SYN-ACK or ACK, and the network convergence sub-layer (NCS) constructs a L2 NCS PDU using a designated format with the SDU in the payload and context information in the header.

Systems, methods, and nodes that implement multipath TCP (MPTCP) in a communication system establish first and second data link layer connections to a remote node (500), notify a transport layer of the establishment of the first and second data link layer connections (504), and establish first and second transport layer connections with the remote node over the first and second data link layer connections (506). A packet received at the data link layer for transmission to the remote node is inspected (508) to determine if MPTCP is enabled for the packet, and, in response to determining that MPTCP is enabled for the packet, the packet is assigned (510) to one of the first data link layer connection and the second data link layer connection based on an affinity between an MPTCP sub-flow associated with the packet and the one of the first data link layer connection and the second data link layer connection.

본 명세서는 와이파이 디스플레이(Wi-Fi Display: WFD) 장치에서 세션을 설정하기 위해 TCP 서버 역할에 관한 협상 정차를 개선하는 기법을 제시한다. 구체적으로, WFD 소스(source)로 동작하는 제1 WFD 장치가, WFD 싱크(sink)로 동작하는 적어도 하나의 제2 WFD 장치와의 연결을 설정할 수 있다. 또한, WFD 싱크로 동작하는 제2 WFD 장치가 복수 개 존재하는 경우, 상기 제1 WFD 장치가 상기 복수 개의 제2 WFD 장치를 위한 TCP(Transmission Control Protocol) 서버 역할을 수행할 것을 지시하는 능력 파라미터(capability parameter)를 포함하는 제어 메시지를 상기 복수 개의 제2 WFD 장치로 송신하여 상기 제1 WFD 장치의 능력을 협상할 수 있다.
Abstract:
A gateway system employing a redirect mechanism at upper layer protocols over Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) in a packet network to circumvent problems related to alteration of TCP sequence number due to header enrichment. The gateway system increases the size of a redirect message by the size of the header enrichment and thereby brings TCP sequence number on both ends in sync despite adding the header enrichment information.

In one embodiment, a method comprises obtaining, by a client device via a wireless data link with a wireless access point, information from a network device within a data network reachable via the wireless access point, the information describing network conditions associated with a service provided to the client device via the data network; and the client device optimizing a transmission control protocol (TCP) communication, via the wireless data link, for optimization of the service provided by the client device.
