Abstract:
[0049] A valve (10) and a hydraulic controller (45) are provider. The valve may combine a rotary-to-linear converter (24) with the hydraulic controller to provide for at least two mechanisms for actuating the valve. Additionally, the valve may include a mechanical lock mechanism (36) suitable for securing the valve at a desired flow position. The mechanical lock mechanism may also provide overload protection. That is, the mechanical lock mechanism may "slip" or disengage if torque forces reach undesired levels. The hydraulic controller may enable a "stepping" mode of control and "fast actuation" mode of control. The "stepping" mode may deliver a discrete quantity of a fluid, while the "fast actuation" mode may deliver a continuous quantity of the fluid.
Abstract:
Urea solution pumps having leakage bypass flowpaths and methods of operating the same are disclosed. Certain embodiments are pump apparatuses including an inlet passage in flow communication with a source of urea solution and a pump chamber, an outlet passage in flow communication with the pump chamber and an exhaust after treatment system, a diaphragm facing the pump chamber and coupled with an actuator, a first housing member coupled with a second housing member form a seal around the pumping chamber, a leak collection chamber surrounding the seal, and a return passage in flow communication with the leak collection chamber and the inlet passage. Urea solution that leaks from the pump chamber past the seal is received by the leak collection chamber and flows through the return passage to the pump inlet passage.
Abstract:
A method and system for an integrated ejector valve assembly is provided. The integrated ejector valve assembly includes a first valve assembly configured to control a flow of relatively lower pressure fluid from a first inlet port, a second valve assembly configured to control a flow of relatively higher pressure fluid from a second inlet port, a first actuation chamber configured to close the first valve assembly, a second actuation chamber configured to close the second valve assembly, and a third actuation chamber configured to open the second valve assembly.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates generally to a faucet valve cartridge 10 configured for use within a dual handle faucet 16, 18. The valve cartridge 10 includes first and second fluid flow control members 94 and 96 received within a valve housing 74 and configured to control fluid flow from an inlet 32, 36 to an outlet 29.
Abstract:
An apparatus for administering ingestible liquids in a serial flow relationship, including a first tubular member having a first diameter, a second tubular member having a second diameter, a hollow intermediate member having a first end, a second end, and a chamber defined therein by an interior surface, and a valve member positioned within the chamber of the intermediate member. The first tubular member is in flow communication with the first end of the intermediate member and the second tubular member is in flow communication with the second end of the intermediate member. The chamber of the intermediate member is divided into first and second portions by the valve member. Accordingly, a first ingestible liquid contained within the first tubular member and a second ingestible liquid contained within the second tubular member are maintained in segregated relation until administration of the first and second ingestible liquids.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method and apparatus for the combination and delivery of beverages for consumption The invention provides means by which two or more liquids for consumption together may be combined in pre-determined amounts The method and apparatus of this invention involves the use of flow meters or flow regulators to regulate, at a pre-set level the amount of two or more liquids entering a completed combination beverage Additional means are employed whereby liquid is forced through those flow regulators to a final dispensing output. Furthermore, means are employed for storing the two or more liquids in a convenient and quickly replaceable manner.
Abstract:
A three-way poppet valve that can restrict or eliminate backflow without the use of an external check valve. Unlike conventional three-way poppet valves wherein both inlets can be open to the outlet at the same time during movement of the poppet, the valve according to the present invention can be configured to close both inlets prior to opening one of the inlets to the outlet. The valve features a poppet valve assembly that is operable to prevent both inlets from being open to the outlet at the same time. The valve assembly also reduces the force needed to close the valve against at least one of the inlets thereby allowing the use of a smaller actuator. A unique seal including a valve seat that is configured to conform to a valve member under sufficient pressure.
Abstract:
A valve manifold assembly including a manifold body defining a primary flow passage and a secondary flow passage fluidly coupled therewith through an aperture in the wall of the primary flow passage. A valve including a head portion and a stem extending therefrom is disposed through the aperture. The head portion has a valve sealing surface adjacent and extending around the stem, and a valve seat having a seat sealing surface facing into the primary flow passage extends around the aperture. The valve is selectively shiftable between a closed position wherein the valve sealing surface is sealingly engaged with the seat sealing surface to block fluid flow between the secondary flow passage and the primary flow passage, and an open position wherein the valve sealing surface is spaced apart from the seat sealing surface to enable fluid flow between the secondary flow passage and the primary flow passage.
