Abstract:
The present invention relates to a mechanism used for cutting such products as aluminum foil or stretch film which are both made use of for wrapping the surfaces of foods, the said mechanism being manufactured for use at homes and particularly in the kitchens of business organizations.
Abstract:
An apparatus having a sample sectioning device including a cutting mechanism that is operable to cut sections from a sample and a sample holder that is operable to hold the sample. The apparatus further includes a drive system coupled with the sample holder to drive movement of the sample holder and a reciprocating member coupled to the drive system to drive vertical movement of the drive system. The reciprocating member to move in a reciprocating manner within an angle of rotation of less than 180 degrees. A surface orientation sensor may further be provided that is operable to sense an orientation of a surface of the sample held by the sample holder.

Abstract:
A food processor appliance for cutting food articles into a desired form, includes a housing having a feed chute a pusher member for pushing food articles through the feed chute into the housing; a cutter device within the housing mounted for reciprocatory movements transversely across the outlet end of the feed chute for cutting food articles, fed therethrough into the desired form; and an electrical drive unit including an electrical motor removable from the housing to facilitate cleaning the cutting device. The electrical drive, unit includes an interlock electrical switch normally disabling the drive unit but actuatable to enable it, and the feed chute includes an actuator laterally thereof for actuating the interlock electrical switch, and thereby the drive unit when the drive unit is located in its proper position the top wall of the housing.
Abstract:
A ductmaking apparatus forms a laminate section including a sheet metal layer and a layer of insulation fastened to the sheet metal layer. The layer of insulation is severed from a moving web of insulation by pivoting slicing movement of a knife across the moving web.
Abstract:
The present invention specifies a device for through-cutting of an extruded ice mass which is extruded out of a nozzle, comprising cutting means which immediately after the nozzle cuts up the extruded ice mass into product pieces which fall down on a receiving device for further processing, the cutting means comprises a first knife which is reciprocably arranged in a transverse first plane immediately after the outlet of the nozzle and arranged with a first length of stroke and a second knife which is reciprocably arranged in a plane which is parallel to the first plane and which is arranged immediately below the first knife with respect to the flow direction out of the nozzle, the second knife is arranged with a second stroke length which is smaller than the first stroke length, and means for simultaneous reciprocation of the first and the second knife. Hereby, a shearing is achieved which is more precise and commonly applicable for manufacturing of ice cream portions by an automated production of ice cream products.
Abstract:
A bell crank type strip feeding apparatus is disclosed in which one arm (36) of the bell crank (32) is coupled to an actuator (58) and the other arm (38) has a feed pawl (44) thereon for feeding the strip (2). The actuator (58) is a crank pin (58) which is moved along a circular path about a fixed center. The intermediate pivot of the bell crank (32) is mounted for movement along an arcuate path in response to the circular motion of the crank pin (58). The intermediate pivotal axis of the bell crank (58) is yieldingly supported so that it can move laterally of the arcuate axis path when the feed pawl (44) engages a fixed stop (45). A shearing mechanism (26) is also disclosed for shearing the strip material (2) at the conclusion of the feeding stroke.
