A compact, lightweight and easy-to-use wheeled lawn care unit (10) comprising a two-wheeled carriage (12), a power source (28), plurality of tools (86, 88, 90, 92, 94, 95, 96) which may be alternatively connected to the power source (28), a handle (37) and a boom (38) connecting the selected tool to the power source (28). The power source (28) is pivotally connected to the carriage at a location within its footprint (93). The unit has a low center of gravity by placing the power source pivot (30) and center of gravity within a cylinder (22) defined by wheels (16, 18). The booms (38, 40) extend horizontally from the power source (28) and is of a split boom configuration which allows selective rotation for the boom portions relative to one another. An edger (86) that can be selected for the unit, which includes a spring-loaded wheel (114). The edger may be rotated from a non-working position (130) where the edger blade does not contact the ground to a working position (132) by rocking a handle (37) behind the carriage (12) forward against the bias of the spring. A second more compact version has the shield (238) positioned on the boom (40).

Für ein motorbetriebenes Gartengerät mit einem lösbar mit dem Gerätegehäuse verbindbaren Werkzeug, insbesondere eine Grasschere mit einem Grasscheren-Schneidkopf und mit einer für den Grasscheren-Betrieb abnehmbar an dem Gerät befestigten Räderanordnung wird vorgeschlagen, die Räderanordnung ausschließlich an einer relativ zu dem Gehäuse verlagerbaren Abdeckung und nicht am Gerätegehäuse zu befestigen. Beim Lösen der Abdeckung von dem Gerätegehäuse kann die Räderanordnung an der Abdeckung verbleiben.

The invention relates to a pedestrian-controlled, portable cutter bar mower (1), comprising a guide pipe (6) with a gearhead (5) at one end (13) for driving a cutter bar (4), said cutter bar being mounted crosswise to the guide pipe (6), and a driving motor (3) at the other end (14). A shaft located in the guide pipe (6) provides the drive connection between the gearhead (5)and the motor (3). At least one handle (10, 11) for carrying and guiding the cutter bar mower (1) is also provided on the guide pipe (6). Spacers (20, 21) are provided for setting the cutting height (h) of the cutter bar (4). According to the invention, the spacer is located in the area of the gearhead (5) and the cutter bar (4) should be mounted in an axial position in relation to the front face of the spacer (20) and positioned inside the rolling circle (50) of said spacer (20). This provides an non-interlocking means of support which nonetheless performs well.

Es wird ein Einachsgeräteträger angegeben, an welchen eines oder mehrere Anbaugeräte, wie insbesondere ein Mähbalken (4), anbringbar sind. Der Einachsgeräteträger weist ein Fahrgestell (1), einen Elektroantrieb (11) sowie eine Antriebsachse (10) auf. Die Antriebsachse (10) ist vom Elektroantrieb (11) antreibbar, um den Einachsgeräteträger über eine Arbeitsfläche (AF) zu bewegen. Die Position des Schwerpunkts (SP) des Einachsgeräteträgers ist relativ zur Antriebsachse (10) veränderbar, um die Auflagekraft des Anbaugeräts auf der Arbeitsfläche (AF) zu regulieren. Ausserdem wird eine Einachsgeräteeinheit umfassend einen derartigen Einachsgeräteträger sowie ein Arbeitsmaschinensystem mit mehreren solchen Einachsgeräteträgern angegeben.

A rotary mulching lawn mower (10), preferably driven by a battery powered electric motor (16), is provided having an annular housing (12) forming a toroidal internal cutting chamber (64) in which is oriented a blade (14) having a central axis for rotation. The blade has a series of blade portions extending radially outward from the central axis each having an end portion (32) extending into the toroidal internal cutting chamber. The blade end portion directs cut grass upward into the cutting chamber. Each blade has an intermediate portion (34) located between the central axis and the end portion having a substantially flat surface lying in a plane generally perpendicular to the axis of rotation. The intermediate portion is provided with a radially extending rib (44) located intermediate the leading (46) and trailing edge (48) portions of the blade having a slope projecting downwardly out of the plane for directing cut grass into the lawn upon rotation of the blade.
