Abstract: A case including a support member is disclosed. The support member includes a port well and a collar for receiving an internal charging port of the case. An elastic tether is coupled to the support member and the case and configured to facilitate extraction of the support member from an aperture of the case for coupling of the internal charging port to an external charging port. The elastic tether also facilitates retraction of the support member and internal charging port into the aperture. The support member also includes a tab for grasping by a user.

Abstract: A grip system comprises a protective case and a grip apparatus. The grip apparatus is removably attachable to a back surface of the protective case. The grip apparatus includes a base, two flexible strips or straps, and a cap. The base is configured to be removably inserted into the recess in the back of the protective case. The two flexible strips are each attached to the base. The cap is proximate a top surface of the base when in a stowed position and extendable away from the top surface of the base when the cap is pulled outward to an extended position. Each flexible strip is configured or adapted to slide within a slot or channel in the cap. Each flexible strip slides into the slot when the grip apparatus is transitioned to the stowed position and slides out of the slot when transitioned to the extended position.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are portable ultrasound systems and methods. In an example, a portable ultrasound system can include a handheld computer, a case holding the handheld computer, a probe head coupled to the case, and a communicating means for communicating between the probe head and the handheld computer. The handheld computer can include a display. The case can also include an anterior opening framing the display of the handheld computer. The case can include a rechargeable battery integrated into the case opposite the anterior opening. The probe head can include an array of ultrasonic transducers powered by the battery. In another example, a method of the portable ultrasound system includes a method of using the portable ultrasound system.
