    摘要: Disclosed are methods of dopamine transporter (DaT) visualization in the brain of a subject (e.g., a subject suspected of suffering from Parkinson's disease, dementia with Lewy bodies, or Alzheimer's disease). The methods typically include the step of intravenous administration to the subject of a first dose of [123I]altropane and the step of acquiring SPECT counts from the subject's brain (e.g., obtaining a first number of SPECT counts of the subject's brain). If the first number of SPECT counts is less than the number indicating that a final SPECT image is obtainable within one SPECT session, then the subject is uptitrated using one or more intravenous administrations of [123I]altropane in the increments of, e.g., 0.5-3 mCi of [123I]altropane, until the number of acquired SPECT counts indicates that a final SPECT image may be obtained.
