Abstract: Alternative-reality devices and methods are disclosed for establishing and visualizing historical sites of vascular access, which are useful for evaluating potential sites of vascular access and improving the successes of obtaining vascular access. For example, an alternative- reality device includes anatomical target-defining instructions and vascular access site-tracking instructions in memory of the alternative-reality device for execution by one-or-more processors thereof. The alternative-reality device also includes a patient-facing camera configured to capture images or video frames for generating an anatomical target in the memory per the anatomical target-defining instructions and tracking the historical sites of vascular access in relation thereto with the vascular access site-tracking instructions. With a display screen of the alternative-reality device, a user can instantly see an environment including an anatomical portion of a patient to which the anatomical target corresponds, as well as graphical elements anchored to the anatomical portion indicating the historical sites of vascular access.

Abstract: A video laryngoscope (100) designed for easy and safe operation comprising an apparatus body (102), a laryngoscope camera arm unit (300), and an associated laryngoscope blade (400) releasably attached to the camera arm unit (300). The camera arm unit (300) is angularly adjustable by use of a rotary linkage member (110) connected to a distal end of the apparatus body (102). A communication unit is connected to a linkage device at a proximal end of the apparatus body (102). The apparatus body (102) is elongate and configured to be handheld by an operator of the video laryngoscope (100). A light source (310; 310'; 314) and a video camera (301) are located on the camera arm unit (300). The laryngoscope blade (400) has at least two internal fluidic channels (440; 450) for delivering fluid to oral cavity regions of a patient and providing suction of bodily fluids from the patient.

Abstract: Techniques are described for bone-graft harvesting in orthopedic surgery. Processing circuitry may obtain a virtual model of a bone graft to be harvested from a donor bone, wherein the virtual model of the bone graft specifies a volume of the donor bone to be harvested as the bone graft; and output for display, via a visualization device, a graphical representation of the specified volume to be harvested relative to a portion of the donor bone viewable via the visualization device.
