    摘要: A gas separator includes a first distillation chamber and an evaporation chamber. A first liquid valve comprises an inlet in fluid communication with the first distillation chamber and an outlet in fluid communication with the evaporation chamber. A chiller is configured to chill the first distillation chamber to a first temperature and the evaporation chamber to a second temperature that is different than the first temperature. The gas separator operates a first mode during which distillation a gas mixture is received by the first distillation chamber, the gas mixture is separated into a first condensed liquid and a first separated gas mixture, and the separated gas is output by the first distillation chamber. During a second mode, the first liquid valve transfers the first condensed liquid to the evaporation chamber and the first distillation does not receive the gas mixture and does not supply the first separated gas mixture.

    摘要: The present disclosure relates generally to processes and systems for distillation of acetic acid products. In one aspect, the disclosure provides a process for separating a feed stream comprising acetic acid and propionic acid in a distillation column. The process includes introducing a feed stream into the column through a feed inlet; withdrawing a first product stream comprising acetic acid and propionic acid from a first draw outlet disposed at a level above the level of the feed inlet; and withdrawing a second product stream comprising acetic acid and propionic acid from a second draw outlet disposed at a level between the level of the feed inlet and the level of the first draw outlet. The volume ratio of the first product stream to the second product stream is in the range of 1:9 to 19:1; and the amount of propionic acid present in the second product stream is at least 50 ppmw greater than the amount of propionic acid present in the first product stream.

Der Erfindung liegt auch die Aufgabe zugrunde, den Aufwand für die Wartung zu verringern. Die erfindungsgemäße Aufgabenstellung wird dadurch gelöst, dass Altöl einer Verdampfung durch eine zumindest mittelbare Kontaktierung des Ausgangsmaterials mit einem Schmelzbad, dessen Schmelztemperatur über der Verdampfungstemperatur jedoch unter der Zündtemperatur des Altöls liegt, unterzogen wird und der Dampf in der Rektifikationskolonne rektifiziert wird.

    摘要: An apparatus for separating a feed stream into product streams. The apparatus includes an upper section, a middle section, and a lower section. The middle section has a dividing wall separating it into two portions. A liquid barrier blocks the flow of liquid from the upper section into the middle section and allows vapor to flow from the middle section to the upper section. A vapor and liquid barrier blocks both the flow of both vapor from the lower section to the middle section and the flow of liquid from the middle section to the lower section. Vapor conduits allow vapor to flow from the lower section to each of the middle portions in varying amounts. Also processes for separating a feed stream.
