Abstract:
The drive assembly for the saw blade of a portable table saw is arranged generally parallel to the saw blade and includes a worm gear arrangement to transfer the rotation of the motor shaft parallel to the saw blade to a rotation of the blade shaft perpendicular to the blade. The table saw includes a height adjustment mechanism that incorporates a worm gear arrangement to transfer a hand crank input shaft rotation to rotation of a vertically arranged lead screw used to raise and lower the drive assembly and cutting blade. An alternative height adjustment mechanism utilizes a pivoting movement to raise and lower the drive mechanism and cutting blade. The table saw may include a riving knife that is kinematically mounted to the undercarriage and blade shaft so that the riving knife is automatically raised and lowered with the blade and drive assembly. The table saw includes a tubular frame supporting the table top and defining an envelope wholly containing the working components and accessories.

Abstract:
A table saw is disclosed. The table saw includes a support arrangement (101), a table top assembly (102) connected to the support arrangement, the table top assembly having (i) a work piece support surface, and (ii) a saw blade opening (106) defined in the work piece support surface, a saw assembly (108) supported under the table top assembly and having a saw blade that extends through the saw blade (110) opening, a saw assembly adjustment mechanism (200) having a user actuator (201,198,199), wherein the saw assembly adjustment mechanism is configured so that movement of the user actuator causes movement of the saw blade (110) in relation to the work piece support surface, a first extension element extending from the support arrangement (101) and defining a first extension space, and a second extension element extending from the support arrangement and defining a second extension space, wherein a first protection zone is defined between the first extension space and the second extension space, and wherein the actuator (198,199,201) is completely contained within the first protection zone.
Abstract:
In some examples, an apparatus includes a base including an arm selectively movable with respect to the base. The arm is selectively rotatable about a first arm axis. A base plate is engaged with the arm. A tool is configured to be detachably coupled to the base plate. The tool is movable with the base plate when coupled to the base plate. The apparatus includes a first mode with the tool coupled to the base plate and the arm being selectively rotatable about the first arm axis, a second mode with the tool coupled to the base plate and the arm being constrained from rotating about the first arm axis, the arm being substantially stationary with respect to the base; and a third mode with the tool detached from the base plate.
Abstract:
The present invention refers to a method of chamfering panels with a core encased in a liner and a device for chamfering panels with a core encased in a liner. In the method according to the invention the previously cut panel (1) is cut on the side by a disk (5), mounted at an angle (alpha), to avoid damage to outer liner layers, and then an adhesive is introduced into the longitudinal slit being cut at an angle, and the slit is pressed over the width until both slit areas are joined, forming a permanent one-sided longitudinal surface indentation having a width close to the cut width, and a depth close to the thickness of the slit. The device according to the invention is provided with a panel guide (1) with guiding rolls (2) and a locking slit (3) having an adjustable width, and a rotary cutting disk (5), mounted at an angle (alpha) and driven, advantageously by a flexible shaft (6), with adjustable inclination at an angle (alpha) and, advantageously with adjustable rotation speed, a slit opening tool and an adhesive dispenser and an assembly of interconnected pinch rolls of adjustable pressure.
Abstract:
A dual bevel table saw provides a table saw enabled with a dual sided arbor assembly and a bi-directional bevel assembly. The dual sided arbor assembly coupled with the bevel assembly further provides for the positioning of a motor and a saw blade to allow for the full range of angular adjustment to be enabled without having to sacrifice any of the cutting features of the saw blade such as depth of cut. The dual bevel table saw may further include a companion saw assembly to provide increased functionality provided by the dual bevel table saw.

Abstract:
Method and device for cutting by means of a number of saw blades placed axially in a line next to each other and suspended to pivot in a cutting station connected to a trimming mill for trimming pieces of timber, whereby one or more cross-cutting saws designed for cutting are lowered for cutting via a guidance and control device. The relevant cross-cutting saw (11) is made to rotate for cutting in such a direction that its lower periphery, the one facing the conveyor (10) and piece of timber (17), moves opposite to the direction of motion of the piece of timber, that a down-deflecting means (36), suspended from the relevant arm (23), is brought into contact with the upper surface of the piece of timber that is fed forwards by the conveyor when the cross-cutting saw is lowered by its lower edge, and upstream of the cross-cutting saw (11) when seen in the direction of transport, whereby the piece of timber that is to be cut is pushed under the down-deflecting means by the driver pins (13), when the piece of timber is touched by the cross-cutting saw.
